You noticed that? I was wondering what it was! I hope it's not just the "Godbeard" that is hinged!!
Great observation, bro!

Very, very nice indeed...
This one is really going to be a hotseller. A much anticipated robot means probably another grendizer price phenom in a couple of years.

Just to inject some fun here ;D From the "other" forum: "Reideen eh? Good it's about damn time if for no other reason than to stop hearing people b*tch that it's not out yet ;-)." -Mason "Reideen, with his Egyptian influence, has always been a fave. But his "transformation" has been something I've tried to avoid even acknowledging in any of his toy forms. It doesn't even have that "its-so-lame-its-cool" vibe that some other "fall down and now I'm something else" bots have. It'll be interesting to see what the SOC does with that feature.... " -Jape Reideen - Lie down, raise your legs and cover your face...now you're a bird. ;D Where do I preorder?

You're welcome, bro! Same as with you, I can't wait to see more prototype pics! This is a very welcome filler for me, before Daimos is released! Daimos? Has he been confirmed? I hope so he would be a sweet addition.

I'm stoked for Reideen. It looks like a great design, and I'm glad they got the legs worked out so that there's some articulation in the ankles. I've always thought Reideen was one of the trippy-er robots of the first generation.

I agree about the ankles... with my MiracleAction Raideen I could never get him to stand feet-flat while posing with his bow and arrow... the feet are actually rocket engines for his Godbird flight mode... ...On my MA Raideen, the ankles only pivot so limitedly that I can only spread his legs apart just enough to keep him standing up in a minimal karate stance... ...the joints in the thighs don't offer much support. But all of that will improve with the GX-039. zozo-Magengar I'm stoked for Reideen. Iron Gear looks a lot like the Great Robot Base from the Diaclone series.
Curious eh?

I hope so he would be a sweet addition. No, unfortunately he hasn't been confirmed yet . But there is a rumor circulating in Japanese fans that one of the future release will be "that grappling robot". I'm not too sure about what it means, but are there any robots besides Daimos and the recent Godannar that are heavy martial arts user?

Nice! So they're re-engineering the elbow joints aye? Gonna be awesome.
And I think the announcement of Reideen should comfort Daimos fans knowing that they haven't forgot the classic robos just yet. The future still looks bright for classics in the SOC line.

Hmmmmm... the word "grappling" sounds to me like a wrestling move... to grab something, usually with the arms around an opponent... ...The only robot I can think of who "grapples" (as in, " bearhug" style) is JEEG. zozo-Magengar Daimos? Please note that the term of "that grappling robot" was found in one of the Japanese blogs (I can't find it anymore after googling it). But the term used by english speaking fans, I remember seeing Gold's posts in other board is "that hand to hand robot".
I also remember seeing similar post in RJ, I can't remember if it was made by Chen, Gold or Ataru sometimes ago.
Therefore, it can mean a lot of things, so do not take my words too seriously until it has been confirmed (although it's fun to speculate). Daimos or Jeeg is fine by me, whichever shows up first!

Check the definition of GX-40 on this page: www2.atwiki.jp/blackbraze/pages/3.html"Crimson body... lightning blow again!!" ... what can it mean?! Can Daimos' red color considered "crimson"? Somebody verify the lightning blow part... I think this is the site where I saw the "that grappling robot" term (note that I used google for translations), but the owner may have updated the text on this page.

From waht I remember, Daimos' finishing move is an uppercut alla RYU from streetfighter that shows a lightning flash after.

OOOOOHHH! If this is confirmed, this got to be the best news! Fredeliza, can you confirm the names of Daimos' movelist from the SRW games (can't read kanji)? If there are any correlations with "lightning blow", then this may be definitive!!
I remember this finishing move from SRW @3, if Daimos' blow kills the enemy, the blow will punch through the enemy's body, and the enemy explode. If the attack doesn't kill the enemy, the animation just shows the enemy being knocked away.
But still, please treat this as rumor untill all the facts are verified.
** I apologize for hijacking the GX-39 Raideen thread topic. We should continue the discussion in the Daimos thread instead. Sorry, Mods.
