New picture of the SV-51 Ivanov. The thumbnail is for a manageable sized pic, and the link is for the blown up image (2.2MB). This will give you guys an idea on how many moving parts, and potential problems this toy will have, unless Yamato does their homework well, and reinforce all the parts. It also shows the "stow" mode of the fighter, as well as the extending neck feature we saw in the animation. Enjoy! BIG SV-51 PICTURE**Pictures courtesy of Graham from MacrossWorld

I preordered this solely for the gerwalk mode. It has a unique 'tori no hito' (birdman) look.

My God, this thing is awesome! If Yamato can release troublefree products, I'm sold on this one!

Thanks Hi Borg001! Welcome to collecting Macross toys! The SV-51 wont be out until a little later this year, but it's one of the anticipated releases. If you'd like to start out with your Macross collection, go buy a 1/48 VF-1S. Either the Roy Focker (yellow stripe) or the Hikaru (red stripe) will do. At this point, the 1/48 VF-1's are still THE BEST Macross Valkyries that Yamato released. Later releases like the VF-0S, and VF-0A are plagued with problems. Best to stay on the fence with them for the moment, but you CAN'T GO WRONG with a 1/48. Good luck!

Here's a flash animation of the SV-51 Transformation sequence from Yamato's website. www.yamato-toys.com/dev/cont_021/movie.htmlLooks very tempting, but then again... the whole VF-0 blunder is making me stay away from any further Macross releases from Yamato, unless they are re-issues some cool VF-1 variants.

According to Graham of MW, the SV-51 was supposed to be released on the 25th of July, but was pushed back. That's good news! I hope they pushed it back just to make additional QC checks on any possible problems with the toy. @lord Zarak: If you're asking about my Macross collection, I have several VF-1's (1/48's & 1/60's), Mac Plus Valks (1/72), and a couple of enemy mecha, some Minmay and Misa figures, super poseables, and a couple of kits. I don't have the Macross Zero mechas yet... hoping to find a good bargain first. he he he he

Credit to Toysdaily for the pics. WOW. I'm guessing it's already out in Japan. Wow! Dang! This toy has been pushing and pushing me off of the fence everytime I see pics of it... and now this! As for being out, not yet. Nostalgia's right. It's been pulled back again. I hope that's a good thing though, hope they put more time into additional QC before they release it. Thanks for posting, pinoy78! You just made my day!
