Wow!! 38cm!! This thing is huge, even in 1/60 scale! ...This will probably cost 25000yen or more, <sigh>... Here are the measurements of the more popular Valkyrie designs: VF-1x = 14.23m VF-0x = 18.69 m VF-11x = 16.02 m VF-17x = 16.13m YF-19 = 18.62 m YF-21/VF-22 = 19.62m VF-19A = 18.62m VF-19F/S = 18.47 The biggest is the YF-21/VF-22 at 19.62m, but the SV-51 is a whopping 22.77m !!! The 51's length isn't the only factor for the price. It's transformation design also means more moving parts so more molds, means more expenses. I just hope that with all the moving parts, it's transformation won't be like disarming a bomb where you're bound to make a mistake, something breaks, and then BOOM! **Fighter Length Information Source: The Macross Compendium

Got an updated picture ;D! The design is awesome, but I'm wondering if the final product will be fragile due to the complex transformation and delicate parts.

Dang! niko beat me to it!!! ;D
Aint it a beaut?
Probably one of the most unique variable fighter in the Macross universe, and it looks absolutely awesome.
The only thing that bothers me about it is the number of moving parts it has in order for it to have perfect transformation.
I love the design for all it's worth, but right now.... look at her! She's got "cracks & broken joints" written all over her.
Here's to hoping I'm wrong!

That thing just looks weird to me. Its almost as if the bad guys got a hold of the veritech technology.

MUST get.
But unlike my VF-0S and YF-19 I shall wait for a 2nd or 3rd release for sure.

That thing just looks weird to me. Its almost as if the bad guys got a hold of the veritech technology. I think that's what the designer have in mind. An evil, twisted, valkyrie! If this is the only modern macross toy I'll ever get, then so be it (after reading encouraging reviews, of course). I think Yamato may need to use metal parts in the legs to prevent top/back heaviness. They should use metal joints too... but that's just wishful thinking. This mech just blew me away...

it has to look weird coz its an evil counter part of the VF0S....look menacing with its color!!! but it kinda looks fragile!!!

I think it would grow on me if it was not for that dome needle head. If I could find a decent head for a good price to replace it with, would concider getting this kit.

Cripes!
The SV-51 looks sooooo fricken MEAN! For the price we're expecting it for, I hope Yamato throws in that awesome looking display stand with the SV-51 package!
BGC Moto-Slaves!
OMFG! 2007 is going to be a pain!
