Cool, I was wondering if it has an opening cockpit and pilot like the CMs version, and it looks like it does.

Now the problem is if you don't have an Alpha but want a Beta and Alpha now what do you do? The Aoshima one is a different shade of blue and the old Masterpiece Alpha's are quite expensive now and had QC issues.

For the Toynami Alpha, from everything I've read over the last 5 years and having owned one myself, you have maybe a 30% or %40 chance of getting one that doesn't have many QC issues. Although 100% of them have hands made with a poor quality plastic that crumbles. The one I had wasn't a complete failure. It had loose joints, parts that didn't even come close to lining up in jet mode, and crumbly hands. As a display piece it probably would have been just fine, but I like to touch my toys and transform them and pose them, and this was not a toy that held up to even a moderate amount of manipulation. It looks good, and that's about it. If you have no intention to play with it then you will probably like it. With the Aoshima version of the Toynami, you have probably a 80% or 90% chance of getting one that is filled with bad QC problems. I base this not only on what I've read and seen, but on the one I owned. The Aoshima generally was much, much worse than the Toynami version with many of them being assembled incorrectly, terrible paint, chips, bad mold quality, and the same crumbling hands the Toynami version had. Not only was it a complete failure as a toy, it didn't really even look good as a display piece, at least not in jet mode. If you absolutely must get one of the two, go for the Toynami release and absolutely avoid the Aoshima at any price. I was lucky to be able to return mine to BBTS for a full refund. BBTS actually got a large number returned to them. They did a big warehouse sale on Ebay early in the year where they got rid of their returns in one big lot. One of the pics on their auction showed a shelf full of the Aoshima Legioss. To further illustrate, check out the pics I took of mine before sending it back to BBTS: I'm not trying to bash Aoshima or Toynami here, and I'm not exaggerating. This thing was one of the biggest train wrecks of a toy ever and I believe it actually damaged the relationship between Aoshima and Toynami.

The only problems with the toynami is that the toy is kinda loose on the legs and torso , but i have to say my own personal opinion is way better than the CM version

Thanks for the pics, it's nice to see them side by side. From the comparison it's very clear to me that I like the look of the CMS much better. I like CM's head much better, it's lower leg sculpt, it's chest sculpt, bascially just it's more 'rounded' overall look. The biggest thing that stands out to me is the huge space between the legs and the chest on the Toynami - such an ugly gap. Glad the Toynami is out and that it seems to be OK so far. More Mospeada toys is always a good thing - especially when they don't fall apart.

I have to say once you feel it in your hand u will say CM who? , iam serious i never tough it will be this good , the quantity of diecast makes it a very durable and vluable item . but u are right if you want a more accurate anime version i guess you should go for the CM version

Heheh, funny you say that because a lot of people criticize the CMs for NOT being anime-accurate. In any case, we like what we like and it's awesome we each found a Beta we're happy with.

Actually it was presented to you and others on the MW boards. They look quite a bit sh*ttier than I figured that they would. A brick with wings some have called it and I must agree. Doesn't surprise me though. Toynami has always lacked to impress me.

I should know this, being a fan of the CMs, but I can't recall. Has CMs made any mention or indication that they will be making the Tlead/Beta in the shadow color? I'm debating weather or not to get the shadow Legioss/Alpha but I'd like for it to have it's buddy.

eriku,
Back quite some time ago I saw a pic of a mock up one on the MW. It's been a long long time....but I thought it looked quite cool. Just search for it in the old Mospeada thread and I bet you'll find it or a link to it.
