I love the look of the new VF-25 in fighter mode but in any other mode it's way too derivative, to me it just doesn't look like a "Macross" fighter. But the figure does look good, but I still think the hips are too wide and the legs are a bit long but I guess it's hard to match the sleek look from the Anime in a real world figure.

I agree with the fighter mode, it is awesome...but the robot mode, it does have some Macross essence, albeit Macross Seven.

Toys daily also had these pics of the Ozma. They have to make the canopy clear, I really like this color scheme and large Decal on the back of the plane. This valk is sick and with fastpacks and armor this valk is going to be insane! The head has some nice details. This is still the prototype, I don't see any panel lining. toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-73446-1-1.html

Goodness, this thread has slipped behind. A bunch of hires photos of the latest DX testshot at GA Graphic: ga.sbcr.jp/mgangu/011152/I like it, myself. They didn't bend the knees near enough for Gerwalk mode, but they've certainly shown that they'll bend farther in other photos. It's probably straight legged due to photographer preference.

Wow, thanks QJ! I'm anxious to see final pics, but I already like what I see here. Basically it comes down to only two criteria for me:
1. Does it look like the VF-25? 2. Will it be a durable and fun toy?
The answer to 1 is yes, and I'm going to assume the answer to 2 will be yes because it's a Bandai DX toy. Can't wait to get my mitts on this thing and take it for a test flight.

Wow! Will you look at that!
Looks like Yamato isn't the only one with Valkyries that have "John Holmes" syndrome... he he he...
Looks nice though, but I agree with the folks on the 1/100 thread. The kit looks beter in all aspects.
Although, I'd probably still get this.

It's not 100% accurate, but looks great for a chogokin. I really want to see some color on this valk and transform it.

Beeeyooooteeeeful! I think this is the first we've seen it with a clear canopy. I'm sure those thruster gaps in fighter mode will still cause some worry for people, but nothing about this really bugs me enough to complain about.

1/60 DX VF-25G and RVF-25 WITH Fast Packs were recently showcased at a Tokyo Trade Show?!? Apparently they're set for release in early 2009 folks!

I really hope the DX and 1/100 lines sell like gangbusters. Yamato desperately needs the competition and the fans will get more options to choose from. I may buy the parts-swapping 1/100 VF-25 just to show my support.

I'll probably buy it because I like having small versions of toys for other toys to play with. I'm odd like that.
