Well, I figured if we have a "Positive Transactions" thread, maybe we should have a negative one? This way, RJ members can have a quick reference as to which dealers/sellers/toy shops to watch out for.
It would be best to do a quick summary as to what happened and why you feel this individual or company deserves your comment.
Hopefully, there would not be many listed but you never know...
I have none as of this posting.
Admins/Mods...is this a good idea?

Well it makes sense to have negative as well as positive feedback so I'll pin this one.
Obviously with negative comments the chance of causing offence or starting arguments is much greater. So please just stick to the straight facts of the matter.

Funny you should bring this up... On Friday, June 18th, I ordered a Kamen Rider figure from Toys'n'Joys. I didn't hear from them, so on Tuesday, I sent them an email asking whether they had confirmed payment and shipped out the item. I got an email from Alex Le that simply said "yep!", so I blithely assumed that they had shipped out the item. The shipping was supposed to come with a tracking number, according to the order form, but nine days later, I had still heard nothing, so on July 1st, I sent TNJ an email asking for the tracking number. No reply. Another week passed; I tried calling them, but got no answer. On Wednesday the 7th, I wrote them another email asking them what was up. I got a reply that night saying that the item had been backordered, he was expecting it that Friday, and he'd ship it out then. I wrote back, extremely upset that he hadn't told me for three weeks that he didn't even have an item in stock to ship out to me. I got him to give me a free upgrade to Express Mail, but as of right now, I still haven't heard from him as to whether the item's in. If I haven't heard from him by the middle of next week, I'm probably just going to cancel the order and demand a refund. Nothing dodgy-- at least, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on that-- but EXTREMELY bad communication and customer service. On a related note, if anyone knows of someplace I can find the Kamen Rider Faiz S-RHF figures, let me know.

I was defrauded recently by an ebay seller, rbgreen63. This is the item I won: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5902416516&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:ITAs of today, I have not received it. I've also emailed him multiple times and he has not responded. Someone else emailed him about another auction, and he responded right away.. proof that he is ignoring me. He has an identical one up for auction right now. DON'T bid on it. I've reported him to ebay and paypal, so hopefully I'll get my money back and his account will be suspended.

Well, I got my figure from Toys'n'Joys. True to his word, he express mailed it to me as soon as he got restocked. I just wish he had told me in the first place that he didn't have it in stock. So, thumbs way down for communication, but I won't write him off totally.

'mini-van_hobby'
Fast shipper and the toys were new, but VERY crappy shipping took the smile off my face. Corners of the boxes were damaged and bent, and he shoved the GX-06M into a box that barely fit (boo hoo hoo!). We needed two people to forcibly slide this toy out of the box it came in!
He also refused to issue feedback even after he was paid (the very next day) until we gave him our feedback first (obviously ready to give as good as he'll get). That had already worried me. Anyway, we'll not give him any feedback, we don't want to take a knock on our rating too.
I won two auctions from him, so he knocked $5 off the shipping of one of the items... but I ended up paying $27 in shipping anyway. And we're in the same CITY. I had to pay shipping because no pickups were allowed, which is just fine, it was one of his rules, but for $27 friggin' bucks, you'd think he could've used a bigger box and thrown in some bubble wrap or styrofoam chips! It just wasn't right! These collector toys weren't treated with the proper respect. I wasn't angry at first, I was thrilled with my toys, but thinking about it more and more has bugged me so much I had to post.

I mean he must be hiding something. Right?

Hi folks I recently won the GB-23 T-28 from a seller called briancompany at cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5910423032. I just received the item today. When I opened the package, I am pleased with the packing. But when I take closer look at the toy itself, I am very disappointed because there is some paint chip on the chest of the figure and there is some paint chip / chrome off on the knee of the figure. According to the seller's description of this auction, he never mention there are paint chips on the figure and also never mention the instruction is a photocopy one from the original one. he keeps saying the box and the body is in a good condition. As a toy collector, I don't think the toy is in a good condition. At least he should mention paint chip on the body. Now I feel like being cheated by a 100% positive feedback good seller. Picture from me of this creepy GB-23 www.gomcse.ca/gb2301.jpgwww.gomcse.ca/gb2302.jpgwww.gomcse.ca/gb2303.jpgwww.gomcse.ca/gb2304.jpgwww.gomcse.ca/gb2305.jpgwww.gomcse.ca/gb2306.jpgSo I would like to know what can I do right now ? Can I ship the whole thing back to the seller via registered mail and get a refund of US $ 202.50 from him? Please kindly advise what can I in order to resolve the problem. Vincent (gomcse2002)

I had the same thing happen to me today with a seller named "lancelotx2002 ". I used a BIN for the Bioman TechnoBrace watch which was supposedly new and never opened before.
This was what was wrong with it:
-There is a bunch of lint in the velcro of the band. -There is some unknown sticky residue on the back of the watch. -There is dust all over the outside and inside of the screen. -The box has had no tape sealing it when I received it. The tape had been throwin inside the box. -There are rub marks on the outside of the band. -It is a BROKEN watch. The LCD screen is broken on the inside and the liquid crystal display has leaked. This was prolly not due to delivery damage as it looks old. -There is a button missing on the side of the watch. There are supposed to be 2. There is only one.
I just wrote the seller back and demanded a replacement or a refund including shipping and paypal fees. I took pics for evidence just as you did. If he doesn't respond within 48 hours I'm going straight to Paypal and getting my money back. There's no reason why if I can pay within minutes of winning an auction that a seller can't address my issue promptly.
However, in your case, did he explicitly state that the toy was in great condition, etc etc? This was my seller's descrip:
"This is the replica of the henshin bracelet used in the series. It comes with a fire mechanism. This is a real working digital watch. The henshin bracelet comes with light and sound. All sentai henshin item is very, very difficult to find. A great addtion to your collection.
** This toy is brand new and never taken out from the original package. "
Yeah right. Oh he's going to pay for this. I've been looking for that watch for almost 20 years! Right now the bitter is waaaay overpowered the sweet taste in my mouth.

hello j*ryu
Thanks for your prompt reply and for my case, the seller states that
"THE FOLLOWING IS TETSUJIN GB-23. THE BOX IN GOOD CODNTION. THE BODY IS IN GOOD CONDTION TOO . THE WINNER HAS TO PAY THE SHIPPING COST. WINNERS HAVE TO PAY SOME ADDITIONAL SERVICE CHARGE IF IT THE PAYMENT IS SETTLED BY PAYPAL . I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL AND WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER. I HAVE AN RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY BIIDDERS WITH NEGATIVE FEEDBACKS AND ZERO BIDDERS. GOOD LUCK ."
He keeps saying the box and the toy body both in good condition and it turns out it is not the case.
I will wait and see whether the seller will response back to me.
BTW, did you get your refund back from payPal yet ?

hey bro, Hrm..sounds like your situation is a little more tricky than mine. The term "good condition" is subjective and can be contested if that's what he deems as being a quality level that he personally is satisfied with. In my case, the condition was stated *objectively* with terms such as "working watch" and "never been opened" when clearly that was not the case since it was dirty and broken. I just received the watch this afternoon and within 10 minutes of getting it, had the pictures for proof and an email on the way to the seller asking to rectify the situation. I will wait a couple of days before submitting a claim with Paypal to see what they say. I'm a pretty easy going guy and would like to give the seller the benefit of the doubt despite the fact that all the evidence clearly points to deliberately misrepresenting the product. In the off chance that this is truly a mistake, I want it to be a fair process for both parties. With your case, I think you really have a few recourses: 1. Politely inform the seller that the product was not in "good" condition and send pictures to him with the damaged parts highlighted. Ask him if he has another in better condition and if so, see if you can switch it out. This time ask him to send photos first make sure it's up to your level of satisfaction. If he doesn't, inquire about a refund without having to resort to getting Paypal in the fray. If he's a 100% seller, then he should at least understand that customer satisfaction is key to a sucessful business. Perhaps he will willingly refund your money or offer a discount off the item. 2. If no action is taken and you're stuck with the item *and* he's being unresponsive, then file a complaint with Paypal after your correspondence with the seller breaks down. They'll investigate your claim and try to get your money (or most of it) back. The only problem I see is if the seller is overseas and they have an Unverified account, etc. Paypal is known to be picky with this type of thing so you may be out of options if this is the case. They tend not to be able to do much about refunds if it's dealing with overseas transactions. Regardless, if you're going to get PP to investigate, make sure that you file a report before the end of 30 days after the transaction since they can't do anything after then. Good luck man, keep us posted. j*ryu hello j*ryu Thanks for your prompt reply and for my case, the seller states that "THE FOLLOWING IS TETSUJIN GB-23. THE BOX IN GOOD CODNTION. Hello Jryu
Many thanks for your reply again. I just find out that this auction is not eligible for Paypal Buyer Protection for items not as described so what should I do now ?? I try to prepare for the worst.

Hi Jryu,
I just got the email reply from the seller and he fully understand that I am not unhappy about the item, and he is serious to resolve the issue with me. In order to make the situation easier, he offer me a discount on that item, so I don't have to ship the item back.
So I accept his offer and move on with my toy life.

Hey man, I got a response from my seller as well. "First of all, I like to apologize for your concern. I did not fully inspect the item before putting on ebay. This is my mistake and I will take full responsibility. I do have a few other sentai items that I have not put up on ebay yet. Can you give me a few days to put pictures together for you to see if you are interested. I will let you have first hand on the products before other buyer. If you think otherwise, I can also refund your money immediately. Please let me know what do you want me to do. I am very very sorry for this transaction." It seems like both of our sellers are willing to rectify the situations in way or another. I'm glad that you could at least have some option in terms of your transaction. I guess as toy collectors we will have to make an extra effort to doublecheck or even triplecheck items in general, especially at the going rates for some of the toys. Glad you got it somewhat resolved. j*ryu Hi Jryu, I just got the email reply from the seller and he fully understand that I am not unhappy about the item, and he is serious to resolve the issue with me.
