My deepest apoologies and condolances for your loss. I'm sorry that I brought it to the attention of the board, I was just worried that I was being taken advantage of. My thoughts are with you and your family, please contact me when you resume the auction service and we'll sort everything then.

It is with great sadness that I must add to this thread with my own experiences, actually with a manufacturer's retail outlet and someone who has an account here: Shocker Toys. After placing an order through their direct-to-consumer store for an in-stock item, I waited for two weeks, never receiving the item nor any notification of either shipment or a problem with the order. I placed several e-mails, never getting a reply. I called them, was informed "you should have gotten a shipping notice, send me an e-mail!", after which I did and once again heard nothing, even after repeated followups. I have a paypal dispute currently in the works, but it's very disappointing that a manufacturer's direct-to-consumer store is this callous with regards to its customers, especially one who has even gone to the effort of trying to make an appearance on our own message board. Needless to say, I can only recommend that people avoid Shocker Toys - if not their figures, then at the very least their online retail outlet. Sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, this is what Geoff Beckett of Shocker Toys has been doing across the internet for over 6 years. He signs up for a board. He posts some of his spam. He tries to make the board members feel "special" by being a company head that interacts with the fans, just like a regular guy, right? But he never really hangs around. He just posts a couple of times and disappears, hopefully picking up a few dollars through orders he may or may not ever fill. (At least he seems to have stopped using Shockpuppets to pretend that people are interested in his product.) Even after finally getting some actual product made last year, Geoff can't stop himself from reverting to old form. He'll always be looking for new marks that aren't aware of his checkered past. He'll always take the shortcut, regardless of who might get run over along the way. He's about doing as little as possible and hyping it as much as possible. He flies around the country to attend conventions, partying and pretending to be a big shot, using the money customers gave him for product he never delivered. He has yet to even manufacture the Mr. Gone figures that people paid for as long as 2 years ago, despite claims to have gone into multiple production runs on the other IS1 figures. Here is some of the sordid history surrounding Shocker Toys: www.bleedingcool.com/forums/showthread.php?2625-Shocker-ToysCheck out the companies Wikipedia article (and related, deleted articles), especially the archived talk pages and talk pages of the article creators and contributors. It paints a very telling portrait of what kind of person is behind Shocker Toys.

I too have heard nothing but bad things about that Shocker Toys guy and read some comments by him in another figure collecting forum that were in poor form.

That thread certainly makes for an interesting, and slightly sad, read. Thank you for the link.
It definitely makes me feel more justified in my decision to not buy a SCUD figure, even from another retail outlet, on principle.

Mr. Quinjester I would like to clear this up and we are sorry to hear about what happened. For some reason your order placed through our paypal system was on the multiship list to go out but did not print on a label. When you brought it to our attention we notified the warehouse who indeed noticed your order for some reason would not ship through the paypal system. Our warehouse said they refunded you for the Scud (which I just looked into and a refund was done on 1/28)and asked if you could re-order as there was some kind of glitch in paypal. Did this not happen? We have the items in stock and ship items all the time with no problems. If you would like us to take care of you please contact us via our site which has the feedback form up and running again since being overhauled.

In fairness to Shocker Toys, if you make your complaints public, their pattern recently has been to address the problems. Just be sure to do it where a lot of people can see it, otherwise you are likely to be ignored as quinjester was until now. Just sending private emails and making phone calls is ineffective. They certainly do not seem to care if you never see your product after you've paid for it. As has been the case over and over again, only public shaming gets them to do the right thing when something goes wrong (which seems to be quite often, unfortunately).

i have seen posts regarding wheeljackslab being a tool either here or elsewhere. i had bought from him before and never had a problem. or so i thought. i was cleaning out old emails from my inbox and found a series of emails that we exchanged. i had bought something from his store and tried to use the checkout. my old address was showing up as the shipping address because i was a repeat customer. i could not change the address so i emailed him and also put the correct address in the message box. of course he sends the items to the wrong address even after giving him the current address twice. it wasn't a big deal losing those items but he was such a prick about it. i never got my items or a refund.

No transaction occurred here but...I've e-mailed auctionjp regarding some shipping questions before I send him money via Paypal and was completely ignored. Again, no actual transaction occurred here, but this lack of response may be indicative of future transactions others may experience.

I ordered the GX-59 from betatoys on 8-4, and just now they proceeded and shipped on 8-14. 10 days after i paid, wtf!!!
according to their shipping info, it said 2 days for processing and 5-7 days on shipping. Now it took them 10 days just to process my order...not good

that is messed up! yes, as a general rule nobody should ship anything without receiving payment first, but in this community of serious collectors, many people develop a strong frienship. if you look around, you will see that many people here are always helping each other out with many things and they do it for free many times, and also trust each other with trades and payments. unfortunately, there is scum like member sixshotninja that ruins it all for the rest of the honest collectors here and everywhere. I hope karma catches up with him soon and he pays dearly for his actions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you can call the police and thell them he has not paid you for the item. daikumaryu already said that you could have the $250 if you could get the money from him, so in other words, that ba$t*rd has stolen the figure from you. report him to the police, it is worth the try I think!

This is why we say "there's always two sides to a story, and then there's what actually happened". But even I must admit that I've never heard of someone sending an item still covered in piss...
I truly hope this situation is put to rest soon.

This keeps getting better and better... But I still think you guys should try to work it out amongst yourselves instead, rather than out in public view.
Then again, this IS entertaining to say the least.
