heard about the rumors.. read somewhere from zincpanic that a 1/48 low vis would be release sometime in may or april.. just don't sure if it is the regular 1A or this time it would be a 1J or 1S.. also they are going to release a stealth color valkyrie.. black .. also an armor.. version 2.. couldn't be a fast pack because of it's price tag Y12,600.. must be a recolored GBP.. particularly a brown one.. can't wait for these.. i missed the Low Vis first time it was released.. oh and another stealth color.. oh man.. i'm gonna be too broke.. dunno if i can afford both valk.. because of voltes.. here's the link.. www.zincpanic.com/view_article.phtml?id=25292

Sounds good, but I'm not holding my breath yet. Best wait for the toys to appear at a convention, or pics of it come up.

I wouldn't mind a repaint so much - like say, if they did a black VF-1A and call it a "Stealth" edition. But if they rerelease the Low-Viz I'm going to be seriously pissed off. I mean it was very specifically labelled a "Limited" edition. I may be saying this with bias because I actually do have one, but still.
A new armour would definitely be interesting. Hmm... I wonder.

It's likely to be a 'Low-Vis' still. However, with the kind of marketing Yamato has, the Low-Vis re-issue may have some subtle differences with the original LV. The gray used could be darker, or ligther, the same way they made color changes to the TRU Japan Limited 1/60 Cannon Fodder (Brownie), and the mass produced CF. Anyways, it's good news for the ones who missed out on the original.

i wouldn't mind a re-issue of the Low Vis, and as follows a price drop on the original issue, I've already made some money on it anyway. I bought 3 initially and sold 2 for about $350-$400 each on ebay during its peek, and kept one. That's the thing about buying toys at the "appreciated" price the buyer risks a price drop during a re-issue however, if one were to buy @ the released price the the extent of the price drop would be limited to the price he/she actually paid thereby reducing risk exposure to some extent. Unless the toy really becomes unpopular all of a sudden where price drops beyond initial issue price This is one of the reasons i rarely buy vintage toys unless i really really want it ....plus its not that good looking ;D

Any news on the Stealth version? I'm hoping it's a flat black re-paint.

Any news on the Stealth version? I'm hoping it's a flat black re-paint. Here are the pics, taken from MW. Not sure if you can call it a Low Vis though it is more of Camo. Stealth and chrome launch arm: Not that great IMO. Source: www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=17883&st=40

The stealth one looks fantastic. Is it a VF-1J?

Yup it's a 1J.
Those who bought the old Low vis do not need to worry now since these two new ones are a different variant than what was expected. So those who missed out still need to scour evil bay.

*sees VF-1J sign below pic* Yes, I know what you mean. It would be nice for newcomers if they reissue the original one too though.

So the Stealth one is the camo version and the new Low-Vis one is the one in the launch arm? I like the new Low-Vis one but that stealth one looks like a custom fan job. They should have made it the blue camo one like the U.N Army uses.

I think the stealth one is the gray and black one and the low vis is the camo one.

Mm... not too sure I like the "Stealth" - too many shades of gray... I had imagined a matt black finish with a few dark-grey highlights... As for the camo-scheme... It looks nice in battroid mode, but I get the feeling it'll be ass in fighter mode. I have images in my head of conventional camo-schemed fighters. Fighters get camo schemes in case they have to go down in a forested (or jungle) environment... But the underside is always a pale gray (to reduce its visibility from eyes on the ground). The way this sample has been painted would result in a "flying forest" like I used to make fun of when I was little.

LOL! Ben, I recall someone on MW calling the original Low-Vis an 'Ass' before. Look at where the LV is now. Don't get me wrong though, I seriously think that the 'camo' scheme is 'too old.' The last time I saw a fighter that uses a camo scheme was in the Vietnam war, t'was an F-4 Phantom if I am not mistaken. Anywhoo, I like the generic looks of the 1A head, so I'm definitely getting at least 1 camo, and 2 stealths. Hopefully Yamato also releases the FAST Pack Version in Stealth colors.

i think the only mode the camo will look good in is the battroid.....we don't have jungles up in the sky I like the stealth nice color combination

According to Graham (MW), the jungle camo and the colors on the stealth are not final.
So there's a chance that the jungle camo will change, but I do hope the stealth is all black or possibly the darkest gray color you can find.

These pics are from NODA-YA.ComIt looks like these are the final or official colors of the new 1/48s that will be coming out. The Low-Visibility Camo VF-1A Valkyrie:The Stealth Valkryrie Super VF-1J:They all look good, but I'm hoping to see a Super VF-1A Stealth. I like the 'A' head design far better. Anywhoo, here's to losing more money!!!
