I never considered this toy until I saw one on display last week at a HobbyTown USA of all places. It looks amazing. They wanted $399 but I just got one on eBay for 275 shipped. I briefly debated between it and the upcoming Bandai Metal Build Shin Getter 1. Anyone here who has the CCS also plan on getting the Bandai?

Love the Baxinbird. I have the old Takatoku ST and it’s awesome. I’ve never watched a single Baxinger episode but love the designs. A giant flying bird base is 70s super robot cool.
Hopefully Pose Plus does the Dangard JDam base at some point.

Just got mine. It’s a great figure and for all you Marvel Shogun comics fans, it goes great with the SOC Dangard Ace. They are about the same height,as depicted in the comics, and Dangard’s range of motion almost rivals the full action, especially in the legs and arms/shoulders. So you can put them in very dynamic poses together. Really makes me appreciate the engineering on Dangard even more. Now all we need is a FA Reideen.

I’m happy at the quality of this Dancouga. Surprisingly hefty with super tight joints. The wrist pegs are a little long but when you angle the fist in poses, you can’t see them. I suspect they may have done it to provide a greater range of motion around the super wide forearms.
By the time I had considered getting the original Sentinel release, it was over $500 and then the news of breakages started. I wonder what affect the bootlegging of their IP designs will have on that company. If fans know they can wait a bit and get an item at half price with improvements and fixes, their original sales could suffer. They can’t be happy about it. If this BeastCombo sells really well and more Sentinel pricey releases like say Getter Devolution get the same treatment, it could pose serious problems for them.

Had a feeling this would be one of the hidden gems of the year... saw the earlier interview by the HKTOY guys and the lead toy designer for this gokin, during the interview he was asked why did POSE+ decide to tackle this guy. His response, this gokin was selected out of love, and like much of the old school popy toy collectors from HK he promised this will have the right heft and feel that fans should be looking for along with all the wheels being fully integrated unlike the original popy of old. How toy engineering/manufacturing has indeed come along over the years One note, the original Baxingar toys were from Takatoku, not Popy. Sad I missed the preorder on this piece. I think finding it now will be even more expensive. Given the size of the bikes it splits into, would have been incredible if they’d included figures of the riders in all their early 1980s fashion glory, even if they were fixed posed.

Can you post a pic of your golden arm version next to a standard? And which box did it come in? There were 2 Dangard st box versions.

Added to cart and it comes out to $427.28 after shipping. I should've just got the one that re-appeared in stock at BBTS yesterday for $449.99. So the preorders are now being scalped by NY? SMH Or did they mark it up from the start? I don't even know why I'm getting impulsive wanting a second one to be honest. Maybe because I'm getting excited by the hype and seeing everyone else preorder one? Knowing Bandai, shortly after this is released, I predict they're going to release a GX-71R version. I think this is cool for those who never got the 2016 release. But I need to put my retail therapy in check for a minute and focus on robots I still don't have in my collection. LOL It’s high and there is hype for sure. If I add to cart and choose EMS shipping option, select to pay in Yen with PayPal. PayPal shows the converted amount to be $406 and some change shipped. So a little better. Always choose to pay in yen as the conversion goes in your favor.

Popy / Bandai never released it. It was speculated that they actually designed it but never released it. And that Die Cast Metal, the China/HK company that did release them along with their full sized Diamond Belt LionBot bootleg, got hold of and used those designs.

I feared we would never get the rest of the Paladins or that nice Zarkon figure once Target and Walmart abruptly clearanced the current toys and removed their shelf space. That plus TRU folding.
I know the Paladin figures were not the greatest but they do look good with their helmets on standing in a case with Voltron(s) and I really wanted to have the whole team. The only other options are those crap old Panosh Place figures or the very expensive Matty Collector pilots. So this sucks in my opinion.
By the way, if anyone still needs the little metal combining lions, Ollie’s closeout stores has then for 7.99 each.

If you actually find something worth buying at your TRU, here is how to get an additional 25% off your purchase. Before you check out, go to cardcash.com where they have $10 TRU e-gift cards clearanced at 25% off. Buy just enough to cover your purchase or just under. You’ll get an email with the card(s) attached as PDF in about 2 minutes. Open the PDF and cashier will scan it at checkout. Boom, you just saved 35% rather than the 10%. I did this today.
Their gift cards are being honored through 4/21. But don’t buy one unless you are in store with something to buy and will use it right away. Don’t want to get stuck with any unused balance.

How do you tell a Reboot Diaclone bootleg from a genuine one? Can you link to a bootleg auction or something?

I recently tracked down the second box variant of the Popy ST bootleg combiner and will post updated pics to include it.
