Mincons as limbs and weapons is a billion times cooler than a minicon that turns into a smaller vehicle that snaps on the side of a larger robot.

I can't really tell from the pics, but I HOPE they're veering away from the movie designs. If not, they prolly won't get a dime from me.

I know the drones bother a lot of people, but not me, I'm very excited about this line and the ability to mix limbs, even with the two-pack figures. I could easily see an exclusive made by repainting on of the Scouts and renaming it Optimus Prime and then picking the right limbs to reproduce Energon Prime. There's already a drill tank and a choice of helicopters maybe a fire truck and sub are on the way as well.

so the drones themselves cant become a robot? looking at their hands and feet these 5-1 combiners would mean more custom parts to the 3rd party custom companies since the hands suck

I dunno... the 5x combiners look a little iffy to me. The big clompy arm and the dodgy knees aren't doing it for me. I like the concept of the Power Core combiners - some of them look pretty neat. I have to wonder exactly how mix-n-match they really are.

Very neat. The mechanism probably prevents them from having much articulation in the arms and legs, but I like how they not only morph into limbs, but also morph back. Very clever.

Kinda underwhelmed after seeing the videos. I kind of envisioned them differently.

so the Gestaults are like the Mighty Morphin Energon Optimist Prime Pretty much, and that's fine with me, I actually liked Energon Prime (aside from normal Prime being rather fat). Emerje

Ok, the video make the gestalts look a bit neater. Not sure exactly what the gimmick is with that power core combiner. His head flips around. It's little, now it's big! So what?

I'm still not feeling these at all. I may get Huffer, because I've got a soft spot in my heart for that li'l orange pessimist (he was my very first ever TF), but I'll probably be skipping the rest of this line.

More new pics!So can't wait for these! They're affordable, released in small assortments, and look great in all modes. I really like Smolder's combined mode with the huge arms. I really hope Hasbro releases some drone 4 packs or even 2 packs to go with these! Emerje
