Picked up two PCC today. There were three but I do not care for the helicopter one. They are decent figures as is, and I think they might be a cheap fig to by just for the extra heads and bits to make customs with. My gripes on Smolder are the arms. I do not like how the elbow pivots, other than that the figure is decent. Huffer is a solid figure. I do wish you could fold back the arm coverings. He has cool hands, and I would have liked to seen them from more angles. Gripes for the line. I wish the pegs were round so you could try and make them work with the old Powerlinks figures. I also wish the pegs were black or gray. The mini cons sort of suck. They are very basic, but they have multiple modes. They are more for the kids. I will have more to report once I get a set that has limbs. TRU had a sale so I got one of them for 50% off.

I didn't figure there would be much to the mini-cons. Is that a plug in the middle of their chests? Mini-cons go there?

Yep, they can have a chest cannon mode, robot mode, weapon mode and robot mode.
I transformed huffer into a truck, it was the most satisfying simple transformation I have ever done considering how good the truck mode looks.
I sort of wish fansproject would do a set of limbs for these. Something that had robot modes and were interchangeable among them all.

No doubt. I think Takara/Hasbro could have gone someplace really cool with these and didn't. Maybe FansProject will come to the rescue.

I will say this. I have played with these more than most TFs I have bought. I usually just give them a pose and it sits on the shelves for a long time. These actually transform pretty easily and have enough variation to be fun.

I guess his combined mode isn't so bad, but yeah, I'm not feeling the Scout figure. He reminds me of Dirt Boss (which wasn't that great of figure to begin with) to the point that I'm surprised they didn't just recycle that name. Emerje

Huffer Decepticon repaint with drones. And shockblast gets autbot treatment. So far Shockblast is the only combiner one I want, and then there is one other scout figure I am interested in. tformers.com/article.php?sid=13876

I saw and Passed on the Air and Combat sets this morning, and both were on BOGO 50% at TRU. That would make them $15 each, but the gimic really looks a LOT like Bakugan. If anyone has played with them, is this accurate?

I am still not feeling these. The fact that the limbs and such are non transforming drones makes them seem like some kind of TF knockoffs, imho.

can the arms become the legs, and vis-a-versa? like the post-constructicon combiners?

Nope. I am not sure if this line would survive. It should have been worked on a little bit longer to make a better product. The idea is good but the execution is not perfect.

can the arms become the legs, and vis-a-versa? like the post-constructicon combiners? Originally they did say that arms and legs could be swapped, but it was never implemented unfortunately. I wish they would go back to removable fists and feet... Emerje

So far, I like the core figures. I think the limbs are the weak point. I think one drone that came apart into various limbs might be a better approach. I better FP could come up with a limb solution, but I feel this product might not get this treatment.

I think these links are broken? I couldn't get them to load, anyway. I agree that they look pretty cool, though. Better that the first 5 packs, IMO.
