And you're telling me that Koreans are proud of these... things? I wouldn't. Yes, they were at one point. Long story short, Japan & South Korean were, and still are, disputing for an island. Back int the 70-80s tensions were so bad that each country banned exchanged of goods between them including anime. So how do you keep Korean kids entertained? You start creating knock-offs of Japanese intellectual properties with some changes here and there and called them your own. There is even a book that talks about it, sadly it is in Korean: www.amazon.com/Korean-Super-Robot-thermoelectric/dp/8959754137/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1423525746&sr=8-2&keywords=Korean+Super+RobotI got the book, and although I do not read Korean, it has good quality pictures of each Korean Super Robot along with info about the original robots that they are based of.

Voltes V and Daimos are easily my top two favorites. I enjoy maybe about 90% of the mecha anime I've seen, with my focus being more on the mecha than the characters and story.
I've seen too many of them to list here but if we'll use the SRW games I've played (F Final, Shin, Alpha series, Z series, OG series, Impact, MX, Neo, SC series, A, R, D, J, W, K, L, UX, Gakuen) as a guide, then 1980 Tetsujin 28, the Evangelion movies and SD Gundam Sangokuden are the ones I haven't seen.

I kinda agree, thats another way of getting familiar with various mechs without entirely watching the anime itself... specifically getting familiar with robot attacks and sometimes thier unique robot characteristics or movements. ofcourse what I like in SRW games is to be able to play with Grendizer (MX) thats included in the super robot roster. Although my recent favorite is Baldios (SRW Z2),,,damn cool teleportation attacks.

My top 2 are Voltes V and Daimos, and have watched a smattering of others (Mazinger Z, some Combattler). Would like to watch the entire Z series as well as Combattler. I got my son hooked on Voltes V last night.

Oh my gosh! Those thing exist??! That is funny! I never thought I'd see a Mazinger-Getter Ripoff hybrid and a Macross ripoff to boot! Makes me wonder what else they ripped off??
There was a SRW OG OVA, that came out first, then followed by the SRWOG TV series, followed by SRW OG The Inspectors tv series.
It's all connected, but the OVA should be watched last if you're going to follow the chronological order of events of the SRWOG timeline.

I KNEW I forgot to put something on that list of mine! I liked the world from Escaflowne... too bad the Mary Sue protagonist kinda ruined it for me. -_-

Thank to this one I love super robots) 2- Grendizer (I was a bit older and the story was great) 3- Gurren lagann (great absurd story, great characters design and animation) 4- Voltron (first animal combiner.
