Quick update: GX27 will arrive at BBTS in about a week. They are taking pre-orders on the DX Chogokin Aquarion for $224.00 USD (YIKES), but the Aquarion set is all three ship/robot figures. Did Bandai just hire Bill Gates or something? They are trying to ruin me, I swear. JWM

I haven't really even looked at that Aquarion set yet. I haven't been watching the show, but I'd probably hate it just like other recent robot shows like Jinki Extend, Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny (which I'm forcing myself to finish for some reason). This is 3 ships that turn into any 1 of 3 robots, right? So you'd have to buy 4 of this set to display all 3 robots + the 3 machines like with the SOC Getter Robo? Still, if the actual toy has a lot of diecast, perfect transformation and a gorgeous paintjob, it may get my attention.

BTW, Gold just posted at Toyboxdx.com that the upper skull is die cast but the lower jaw is plastic along with the lower legs. Also you have to give a good yank to extend the legs so they lock. thanks for the info... and pleaseantly suprised... well looks like you win ataru
