I wonder for the dragon... instead of releasing it as one big thing... that they might release it in sections... with a detailed vehicle for each section. So that the blow to the consumer is fairly small.
But Gaiking is awesome! I love how they posed him like in the intro where he's using his horns to shock another robot!!!!

Ahh, I know all you Xabungle nay-sayers will get'em and luv'em, yeesh...but man, that gaiking is lookin' good. I still wish they make a yellow-belly variant. And I do really hope they make a giant Daiku-Maryu, cuz' MAN that'd be sweet...it'd also be insanely expensive though.

insanely expensive but cool! I'd LOVE to have a $400.00 Daiku Maryu that is to the new Gaiking scale.

Would you guys settle for an inexpensive but plastic (to scale with the new GX-27) Daiku Maryu for around $150 or a super expensive, limited edition one for over $700? Hmmm...

Of course an inexpensive non-limited one. ;D Don't really know if that will really happen, as the scale just seems too big for a mass production product. Would be like 3 feet long at least! Possible, but not likely.

I love these hypotheticals! Realistically speaking, I'd probably go up to but not over $500. for a big dragon. But to address the topic- Given the choice I'd reluctantly pick the more expensive unit. I'd waffle on the thing for a while, but sooner or later the thought of that adrenaline rush that follows hitting the "send" button would lure me to BBTS. I'd have a little too much fun one night, and wake up the next morning with a fuzzy head and an order confirmation in the inbox. I'd just have to learn to live with the guilt. But I'm real good at that. JWM

I wonder if they might do something like what they're doing for the new marvel series with Galactus. Pretty what might be cool for the average buyer would be to seperate the dragon into lets say 3 parts you can buy.. each comes with one of the dinosaur vehicles. So that each section you can recombine all the pieces. that way the hit is a less on the buyer.. ($150 for each section? I could do that)

Well put it this way, if they made a inscale Daiku it would be 2 1/2-3 times bigger than say a Daigokin Great Mazinger. Even if it was a mix of plastic and diecast it would cost at least $600.00 plus another $100.00 for shipping. I would love if they made one, I just wouldn't be able to afford one.
I think the best alternative was to have a fixed posed Daiku (something dynamic of course) or very limited articulation, made out of plastic. Maybe a third party will make one like MP Prime's trailer.
