Get both, Grendizer is awsome and Zambot has mucho shelf presence. Don't buy it because you think 25 years from now you can sell them for thousands because that's just stupid. Besides if you don't like them you can re-sell them without to much of a loss if their in good shape.

Um, so you guys recommend Grendizer right?? ;D
I guess I would probably lean towards Grendizer just because it's more affordable right now. To tell the truth neither of these robots are must-haves for me (that's why I don't have them yet). But Voltes V kind of rekindled my interest in SOC's and now I would really like to have all of the major SOC's in my collection.

gx9901: i guess bro... if you're going to weigh in the gimmicks and the accesories... Grendizer it is... but i'm still not sold on either Grendizer or Zambot... i don't know... i guess they're too old school for me... Voltes V is the earlies that I can get since i grew up watching him and Voltron

I think that's where your mistake lies, you assumed you were getting chewed out. These guys were merely offering you their opinion about what we all thought was what you were getting at. Don't assume we are snapping, we just told you what we thought, as you asked.

One word of advice for investing. Buy Dengeki Magazine mail order exclusive: Super Robot War figures. They've only rise in value, never drops. And since most of them won't get re-issue ever. Older ones are quite hard to find and worth a ton, and the line has only been 3-4 years old. For me, I take them out and panel line them, and apply super glue to any loose joints LOL. In terms of Grendizer vs. Zambot 3, get Grendizer. Zambot 3's Zambot Ace is very nice, but the rest are not so good. Some parts snaps and breaks, some parts loose and falls off easy, very stiff on poseability, and a bunch of bad QCs on mine. The only SOC I ever bought that made me feel "Maybe I shouldn't have bought this". To top it off, I actually like Zambot 3 quite a bit too. Just not the SOC Zambot 3.

00silvergt: oh no man, i'm totally cool about it. i just didn't expect that we would all go into a much debated conversation. i was just trying to start up a conversation... but i guess in turned into a debate... but i like it when people go into detail... it gives me a whole new perspective on things.... remember, i'm still new to this whole gig... thanks bro! JWM: hey bro i'm cool!!! mpch1: okay bro, i'm COOL now! hehehe!!! yeah, if i had to choose between these two, yeah i'd get grendizer instead.

hehe, i remember when i was new blood. silvergt welcome me warmly too . dricks2080 you are among good people here. if you are just starting out, get socs. they are simply the best (together with aoshima and max factory). catch up first with the bots you like, see the reissue release dates so you can get some of the bots at standard prices. scan the "soul of chogokin" threads for reviews on socs and other bots, it may help you decide which to get first. if you will still have questions on some of them, please feel free to ask. we will be more than happy to guide you in ur initial purchases goodluck and welcome to RJ bro

Manny, Dude, we've gone so far since then, I hope you are not holding any ills for that? I want friends, not enemies, I seriously hope we are.
