For me Grendizer was a childhood dream! I'm not a huge collector, but Ihave a modest collection. I'm super choosey on stuff. But I have to admit I wasn't disapointed at all. And was very content. Not only do you get grendizer, his saucer, and other ship modes. Theres a lot of weapons. And little cool gimmicks in each piece. I was pretty pleased with everything.

Gotta agree with you Kid! GX-04S King of Space set is one of the BEST!! The spazer itself is the size of a ramen bowl! Good die cast contents to!

Weird, I'm a SOC newbie too, and I only have GX-13 (Dancougar), GX-28 (XaBungle) and GX-31 (Voltes V) so far, and I too am debating whether I should get Grendizer (grew up with the show, so...) or Zambot 3. Being a sucker for transforming figures, I would go with Zambot 3... Is it a partsformer or a transformer? Hate it when u need to add the head or hands for the combined form. And what about Combattler V? Is the transformation similar to Voltes V or completely different?

For the most part I have been happy with my GX-04S. There are some plastic pieces that were not cut right or molded properly. It irritates me. As fas as the package is concerned...it does not get any better. Bandai releasing killer stuff in their SOC line. I am getting Zambot 3, then Dancouga, then Xambugle. I wished the was a gundam freedom SOC.
