I'm the one who made that video (linked from my blog in the sig). I have to say I've never seen anything like this Barattack.
It's a pity because the sculpt and accessories are splendid.
One thing I'd like to try is to add rubber or other material to stop the metal spheres from rotating, since the magnets are actually quite strong.

I hope you also like this one with the added shoulder piece molded by the Italian modeler Kalle74

I don't think this is a custom, since they are also showing the box artwork. For sure it's ugly though...

According to my excel file: Most expensive: GX-13R at €347 (= $500); I decided to buy this when the price had already increased, but I still wanted it Cheapest: GX-17 at €20 (= $29)

The announcement is just saying the preorder price will increase after may 16th. - before may 16th: €279 = $406 (+ shipping) - after may 16th: €299 = $435 (+ shipping)
This should be limited to Italy, I don't know if they will be allowed to ship abroad. If not, they will surface on eBay for sure anyway, but probably for a higher price.
I live in Italy, but I will still pass on this one, still to expensive for me, especially without the horse...

1kg for 30cm is really not that much, considering that the GX-48 weighs 545g for 22cm.
From this data I think the Max Factory will actually have less diecast than the SoC version.

Which parts exactly are diecast?
From the photos I would guess the grey portion of the hull (excluding the upper part with cannons)?

I spoke with the guy from Cosmic Group (the official Bandai importer in Italy) in Lucca.
It seems Bandai was worried the model could fall down so they decided to put it the way (after testing it was OK by violently shaking the cabinet).
There were some Japanese people from Bandai in Lucca and they were the only ones allowed to actually touch Daltanious.

I'm just back from Lucca; here are some more photos I made to the Daltanious prototype: www.chogokinmania.com/2010/10/31/gx-59-daltanious-a-lucca/As you can see, the lion's legs were not fully transformed and extended just to balance the resin figure on the shelf. They are supposed to go in the gaps visible in the photo from above.

Actually I think a collection of full size bases would occupy too much space... What I would really like is a complete series of small-scale bases, like the ones they produced for the Popynica series in the '70s

Since I was the one to announce the GX-50S here...
All of the japanese sites announcing the release of GX-50S days ago have now silently removed all reference to it.
There is no reference whatsoever now of the GX-50S, on all the official and unofficial sources I could find.
I wonder if it will be announced later, if it was canceled, or if it was just a bogus rumor...

Another rumor from japanese sites: GX-50 Combattler V STD 17.800 yen GX-50S Combattler V DX (+ Nanbara Connection Base) 27.800 yen I wonder if they'll go for a full size base, like the one shown at a SoC event some months ago:

sorry isn't shin mazinger released as gx-45 already? cheers ;D:D GX-45 is marketed as "Mazinger Z" only; on the box there is no "Shin" present. The GX-49 (or GX-45R) is going to have the God Scrander, instead of the normal one.

According to some asian websites I've learned to trust, these should be the next 5 SoCs, with due date and list price in yen. Same thing happened to me years ago with GX-13 Dancouga: only the transformation manual was present, but the color booklet was not there.

The strange thing is they never chose to release a Shin Getter 2 with normal colors, while they're still making dozens of useless recolors! The normal version of Shin 2 is lightly weathered, the Kawai version is pearl white, the A.E. version is weathered. There's NO version with colors to match the first Shin Getter 1.
