The reason people are excited about this Voltron is not just because it's a Voltron, that's because this appears to be the definitive version of Voltron ever. Unless they really screw up on things like joints, this is going to be a huge hit. After all, the reason people are into this hobby is because they want the best iteration of their beloved character. i think voltron is one of those robots that people get excited about every new figure for it, look at the SMP, Titan power even the Lego voltron got his share of excitement, keep on mind these came after the GX71
since you mentioned screw ups we didnt see the diecast location or how much diecast in it, after all it comes from a company that have only 1 legit diecast (carbotix) figure which is Astroganger the rest have little to no diecast, for me its not a priority give me a high quality figure with decent articulation and i will be happy but for $700 it should have alot of diecast

@ S_Gokin what happened to you man? I see you in the latest posts criticizing every new gokin release. As long as people excited and happy they got what they want and justify the price I would support them on it. Besides you can’t judge a figure until you have in your hand. I do respect your opinion and I do listen to your take but try to show little excitement. It’s the holiday where we are after all.
this is off topic
kindly dont generalize, did i criticize the DX Albegas or Alphamax Grendizer, bryger, Baldios Mini Action Mazinger z or Dairugger ? i didnt even criticize this figure until i saw more images and of course the price
if i saw something i like of course i would say i like it for 1,2,3 and if i saw something i dont like of course i will criticize it for 1,2,3 simple
also why should i show excitement about an over priced figure ? its not logical my friend
i was super hyped about the thunder megazord i even put it in my to buy list didnt even think twice about it, but for $300 thats a big no specially for a 19cm figure
Eid is over man, back to work now

I really wish everyone else feels the same as you do, so I can find this at a sale bin. But we all know that won't happen LOL.
yes that wont happen since its Voltron we are talking about, not Gordian
i did a poll in my Instagram, and %55 said they will pass for many reasons, but the most common reasons were, happy with the SOC or the its overpriced
now its not a world wide survey its just my circle of people a % of the over all market

Happy that you're able to get figures at retail price from where you live But unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world where people don't take advantage. The latest GX-71 reissue that you're referring to cost USD500 here to pre-order. Yes, pre-order price From my profile you can see that I'm not a noob, which is why the current collector situation where I live disgusts me. Retailers here used to be "collectors helping out fellow collectors". Now they are just the same as any other business, profits come first. "The biggest profit I can squeeze out of an item, the better" kind of thinking. Would you believe pre-order price of SOC DX Voltes in some places here was USD 1000? If not making an item waaay overpriced, they will "bundle" it with some worthless crap from their inventory of shelf warmers. The price goes up an you'll be stuck with something worthless that you can't even sell off to break even. The greed is simply disgusting... Which is why I stopped buying stuff locally and went back to HLJ, sometimes Amiami. But then the government will charge tax whenever items cost above USD200 so whichever way, I'm screwed. lol
first it was never my intention to offend you or any one by saying "new to this hobby" and if you understand it that way i apologize to you, its just that some folks think the MSRP for the gx71 is $500 which is not true its just that they came late to the party
and yes i believe you, we are not far behind in here if there is a popular charter the prices get x3 for example GX44S is been sold for ...... $1300, King Arts Grendizer $480 regular version, so trust me we have our own thieves
thats exactly my point the greed and over pricing stuff is out of control these days
we also have that if an item is $260 or higher you will pay tax + customs fee, but i rather deal with the government than local shops
this hobby is getting out of control and so many obstacles to stop us from getting stuff but its a tight fit for us all

thanks for sharing this, honestly i thought the new Dancouga was fully fixed, i think Sentinel fans are like Ford owners they love to polish stuff and hide facts lol
another reason for me to stay away from this, im sure you already know my opinion about Sentinel, they are way over priced, specially for what we are getting
i mean i got the GX71 a huge combiner for less that what they are asking for this figure lol

Don't think they have announced price for the Daizyujin. Might be another reason for you to steer clear from it. Flame Toys stuff never cheap.
if i feel its worth it, i will jump on it
if not i will drift away lol

POSE+ GGG I preordered, since its pretty old and out very soon, I didn't list. From an anime accurate standpoint, there can be a lot to nitpick. But they even initially labeled as the 'Style' line, knowing well that they took more design liberty on the look. What I like about it is while not accurate, it is the one combiner gokin that captures the 'action and power' of the character, without a complete redesign. Almost like a Revoltech on steroid with gokin and size/detail upgrade. Normally I don't like getting multiple gokins of the same character. But this, and being POSE+, I gave it a rare exception and see what I'll get. Daizyujin I get mixed opinions from what I heard. Fans of the FlameToys line or casual Power Ranger fans or robot collectors (like myself) like the design quite a bit. But diehard Power Ranger fans or people prefer the original look dislike it thinking it changed way too much. Since I myself is not that into Sentai, I'll wait and see on this. But right now, it falls into the "cool, but not something I have to have" category. I dig the concept artist that design these, has that signature muscular mechanical curves on the body line. But I already have a few of the Kuro Kara Kuri TFs (Tarn, Prime, Megatron) that captures that, so it kind of filled my appetite in a way.
to be honest with you i didnt dropped both of my list yet
with GGG i would wait for reviews
for the Megazord i will wait for the final prototype

two things to clarify
the GX71 was NEVER sold for $500 that price tag was the after market prices, if you believe this then you better be new to this hobby, when i got mine way back first ever release it cost me LESS than $300, there is a 3rd run for the GX71 which going to be released next month that cost $300
i HAPPILY paid $700 for some figures in my collection because i know they WORTH that asking price, but with this one i dont think it worth that asking price simple its a matter of principle not money, this figure is at least 4 months away thats without delays which they are famous for, so its not hard to save up for it

I'm only aware of Blitzway from their 1/6 action figure of Al Pacino's Scarface several years ago. I've never experienced their Carbotix line of robots. How is the quality? Can anyone vouch for Blitzway's quality?
5Pro have the Carbotix line, but they partnering with Blitzway
from the Carbotix line i have Astroganger, which is a legit beautiful figure, and have some heft to it
from 5Pro + Blitzway i have Mechander Robo, which is no way near Astroganger
first it have an issue that i only saw in HL Pro stuff (and not all of thier stuff) which is paint from the fist get scratched easily if you use the sword, another point is that stupid jet keep falling like EX Gokin getter 1 chest part, lastly it was so light
other than than the articulation and the sculpt is good, thats it

Some are not new reveals, but I'll put them anyway as my "want" list: - ThreeZero Ideon - ThreeZero Ultraman Beliel - POSE+ Braiger J9 - POSE+ Baldios - AT DX Albegas There are plenty other cool stuff, like the FlameToys combining Daizyujin, and some smaller or lesser known figure releases that caught my eye. But those are more "wait & see".
Speaking of the megazord i saw the prototype and to be honest i didnt like it 1 bit something is off about it, but still i would wait to see the final think
another thing i didnt like which is the Pose + GGG i dont know man i feel its just way to busy for me (not Pose+) but the robot it self

Screw Crusher Punch starts spinning in the back at 31:34 mark (you also see the light up horns and chest on Grendizer if you wait a little longer). Activated by a remote the staff has, but it will be some button activation on the real toy. The remote is just for the show display case. No physical Double Spazer shown yet, just in their plans. Spazer may or may not happen, base on what the staff said. www.facebook.com/253521495080943/videos/358687555888523
thank you, thats an amazing feature but im not sure what we will do if it stopped working one day lol
for leds to be honest they are not as wow as i thought but still this is an early prototype maybe it will be better later

Top 3 WORST SOC’s in my collection: 1. Shin Getter 1 2. Shin Getter 2 3. Shin Getter 3 …move your ass Bandai!
i see what you did there
i think you will have better luck with CCS toys than Bandai

I actually just mentioned above as a joke to another poster that if I wanted to maximize value by weight that you should just buy gold. Of course weight isn't everything, but I was tying into my point about it being a bigger figure not just in height, and how that might make designing the figure more difficult, especially since they're making it even more articulate than the SOC. You can't just scale up a figure as it is with no changes. And even for a simple combiner like Voltron at such a size you have to be careful. I'm not disagreeing about it being overpriced, just that it's not something that you can release for $400, especially when considering the expensive Voltron license.
you just touched a very good point which the license, since we are an end users we dont know about this, did increased ? did decreased ? no clear answer
but since Bandai was able to reissue the GX71 two times maybe just maybe its not as high as we think
at the moment the market is full with Voltrons from $30 up to $300
so its understandable if some passes on this

S. spikes on his head is metal! I can be wrong, but His “rocket booster cone thingy” on his lower legs are metal too! This is looking better and better.
in this case you better wear you the infinity gauntlet if you want to play with the figure, man who came with this idea to make the spikes metal ? the regular SRC with its plastic spikes destroyed my fingers now close your eyes and imagine the spikes on the head been metal
His Screw Crusher Punch actually spins, and chest and horns lights up. Saw it in video when the guy demoed it at their booth for the ToysTV guys, similar fashion as the Jeeg's big drills. The guy also mentioned that most likely Grendizer will come with the Double Spazer (the winged fighter Koji pilots), but less likely with the actual Spazer (the big dish) due to cost. dont be evil man share with us
i saw the drill part but not the other parts you mentioned
for the spazer i think it will be an add on later, just like jeeg

ReaaAAAAllyyyy ? I love this one: part of my best SOCs... I understand your concern but Renewal were just repaints... Recently Bandai paid some efforts like on Daltanious renewal with box homage, lion head, etc... Worst to me are : NUMBER 1 : EVANGELIONs : poorly jointed; weird proportions. Looks like Myth Cloth 2. Megazord : lazy engineering, poorly articulated. Worth to be toss in an angry kid toy box/shest than displayed on a shelf. -> can be easily replaced by the upcomming Flame Toys version eheh. To be true they shoulded design it like a stage version rather than a regular toy poorly upgraded to mimic SOC treatment. (I still didn't open the Dragon and not shipped yet the huge ugly Bronchiosor-like... Ok I do not like Power Rangers, not only because Sabban killed our cgi movie project but also because Bio Riobo matters the most and should be priority... Not a megazord... 3. Probably the other Power Rangers SOCs... yes its so bad man the engineering is awful toynami level + the awful QC killed the figure for me, for the repaints i think its more of cash grab since they know some will double dip
i could understand if you hate the Megazord but after owning all the 3 i understand why they made it like this, to support the weight when you combine them all together
and i think it own toy of the year way back, its not 10\10 figure but its the best Megazord in the market today
