S. spikes on his head is metal! I can be wrong, but His “rocket booster cone thingy” on his lower legs are metal too! This is looking better and better.
in this case you better wear you the infinity gauntlet if you want to play with the figure, man who came with this idea to make the spikes metal ? the regular SRC with its plastic spikes destroyed my fingers now close your eyes and imagine the spikes on the head been metal
His Screw Crusher Punch actually spins, and chest and horns lights up. Saw it in video when the guy demoed it at their booth for the ToysTV guys, similar fashion as the Jeeg's big drills. The guy also mentioned that most likely Grendizer will come with the Double Spazer (the winged fighter Koji pilots), but less likely with the actual Spazer (the big dish) due to cost. dont be evil man share with us
i saw the drill part but not the other parts you mentioned
for the spazer i think it will be an add on later, just like jeeg

ReaaAAAAllyyyy ? I love this one: part of my best SOCs... I understand your concern but Renewal were just repaints... Recently Bandai paid some efforts like on Daltanious renewal with box homage, lion head, etc... Worst to me are : NUMBER 1 : EVANGELIONs : poorly jointed; weird proportions. Looks like Myth Cloth 2. Megazord : lazy engineering, poorly articulated. Worth to be toss in an angry kid toy box/shest than displayed on a shelf. -> can be easily replaced by the upcomming Flame Toys version eheh. To be true they shoulded design it like a stage version rather than a regular toy poorly upgraded to mimic SOC treatment. (I still didn't open the Dragon and not shipped yet the huge ugly Bronchiosor-like... Ok I do not like Power Rangers, not only because Sabban killed our cgi movie project but also because Bio Riobo matters the most and should be priority... Not a megazord... 3. Probably the other Power Rangers SOCs... yes its so bad man the engineering is awful toynami level + the awful QC killed the figure for me, for the repaints i think its more of cash grab since they know some will double dip
i could understand if you hate the Megazord but after owning all the 3 i understand why they made it like this, to support the weight when you combine them all together
and i think it own toy of the year way back, its not 10\10 figure but its the best Megazord in the market today

I gotta say I still like the SOC lion limbs more in terms of look and shape, looks a bit more classy (aside not hiding the chrome legs). But everything on the black lion loses to Carbotix. Head sculpt, articulation, combined proportions, the unnecessary wide upper chest and short hip. SOC need a GX-71X Black Lion renewal!
honestly both looks good, i hope they fix the black lions ears in voltron mode they are very odd looking
i think Bandai need an anime version thats it

You are fighting windmills, my friend (we have that expression in Spanish it means, like Don Quijote, just going against something you can defeat). Prices has gone up and are not going down, there costs increase and mostly increasing demand. I agree with you many are overpriced, but if every figure is coming out at those prices then when a really good one comes out I think it deserve a chance. Luckily I have almost everything I wanted when I started, just a few figures more and I'm out (or at least buying one or two figures a year). I'm not saying you are wrong but just let it be... there is no point in complaining, at least not here... Look cool, but I'm happy with my SOC...
first thank you for the memories i remember that character from an old cartoon
please consider this as a friendly chat, i totally understand the cost increased in some areas like the materials and working hands specially in these times of COVID, also shortages in some key parts
however some companies like CCS managed to keep it real with their prices look at Gurren Lagann, Zero both are reasonably priced, combiners wise the GX95 i know its not jaw dropping but the price was kinda reasonable, the GX-96 Getter Go also
on the other hand (some companies) was already overpricing their figures, are trying to make this as an excuse to overprice even more, the jump in their prices are an exaggeration, especially with some figures that have many other alternatives, ranging from cool to jaw drooping alternatives
which leads me to another key points (other alternatives) for example if a company came up with lets say Albegas a huge diecast combiner but the price tag was high, i will insult them first then preorder one later lol, because the isnt any other decent Albegas figure in the market, but asking a high price for something that have at least 5 alternatives that is not so far away and not so much different is a hard bargain to be honest
lastly if we cant complain about prices and figures in General in RJ where should we do it ? lol consider it a reasoning why some wont get a certain figure

It's more than 30% taller, and the design is a good deal bulkier. Sculpting seems sharper and it has more complex engineering and gimmicks, as well as more accessories. It also weights almost double the SOC, and is heavier than even the DX Combattler. $700 is a lot but I can understand why it's much more expensive than the SOC. Maybe $500-$600 would be more fair, as unlike the DX line this doesn't feature any licensed songs, voice lines, or sound effects. However you raise a good point about how small the sword and shield are.
i already mentioned the size, but another point regarding the size and weight, there is myth going on which is (heavier + bigger = better) not always not so much, why a huge Mazinger fan like me didn't get the Heavy Metal Zero version ? because its more of a statue its dead heavy and you need to be %100 sure how you pose it or you will stress the joints, i have the Heavy Metal T28 and its very similar to Maz Zero,
back to this figure, the design and the sculpt are very close to the SOC, its not a bad thing, its just hardly different, like i said SOC V1.5
complex engineering ? what are you talking about man ? this is Voltron 1 lion insert his limbs in other lions rare ends and boom a robot, very few areas that they need to pay attention to, we are not talking about Combattler V, Dairugger or Dancouga, Voltron use way less anime magic, so complex engineering is not the right term here
for the accessories the cool stand for the lions + the pilots, we saw the rest before
at the end dont get me wrong the figure looks good but the price is not so much, specially there is other cheaper alternative which is not necessary bad
im happy with the SOC

S. My dear young friend! You're too young to be so jaded. But yeah....
im sick of people greed man, people what to get rich quickly by any means, you find this greed every where
look at the ps5 prices right now some are asking $1000 for the digital version the blu ray extra $200, for something that cost half of that, i know its a demand and supply case but still to ask 3x times the original price is insane
now im not say this figure will cost $500 but looking at other companies greed i wont be surprised

Oh manoman...this is REALLY tugging at my heart string. He has ENOUGH metal for me to consider him as gokin. LED AND magnet gimmick? DAMN!! If it’s at around their Jeeg price, I’m HIGHLY motivated.
Sentinel have less diecast and they consider their stuff SOC lol
how much was Jeeg ? i forgot man

ok this figure have alot of cool ideas that i never saw on a Grendizer figure before, im really interested if they priced it right
sadly the diecast is not much but still it have other things going for it like it uses USB cable to light up the LEDs, FINALLY a company with a brain
the crescents are connected with magnets and they could open and close to be used on the weapon or Grendizer shoulders so no more 4 crescents very smart thinking
most of the photos are in here

other than the size and the LED,s i dont think this figure have much going on for that WORTH the price for me it feels like the GX-71 version 1.5 also why the blazing sword and the shield looks very small comparing to the figure ?

i think the price of this thing will be close to Jeeg since the spikes on the arms could rotate as well
will wait for the final price and IF they will give it a spazer or not

if they truly fix the waist issue, then i will consider this as a legit Mazinkaiser
more diecast is not always a good thing also we are talking about Riobot here
but even with that, $300 is a bit high for what you are getting

Be fair S... if megazord, or the voltrons were new molds and released today they would probably be around 400~450usd. Look how much they are charging for getter go or the black wing. Don't forget you are talking about bandai, that has better sale numbers and lower costs. This one is bigger and from a small company, probably this will be more or less 800usd (and for example the hi nu metal structure retail price was 950usd and this is close to a dx release)
im dead fair, those were the last 5 combiners from the SOC line (no reissue no repaint), the most expensive is the GX95
Getter Go price is $230 which is reasonable for what you are getting, black wing asking price was $200 which is cheaper than Getter Go even tho its a TWE item
the Hi Nu Metal Gundam have alot going on for it from the paint to the LED's to the mechanical parts, im not saying the price is acceptable but its kinda justifiable
im not saying Bandai prices are always acceptable or reasonable they have some nonsense prices as well, like the two Spazer's sets for the GX76
all im saying is, and i think some will agree, i simply wont pay more that what i think the figure deserve
for this figure, and from what i saw i think it have 2 key things going for it, the size and the led, but what about articulation, paint, and QC, for the tiny pilots i dont really care about that feature to be honest
lets wait and see

LOL Lucky if it is below $800. Don't think it can make it at $300 even if we go back to 2010.
lets see, this is the last six combiners from the SOC line (not repaints)
GX-96 Getter go $230 GX-95 Gordian $350 GX-88 Dairugger $330 GX-87 emperor $230 GX-72 Megazord $300 GX-71 Voltron $300
keep in mind those are the prices without the preorder discounts
anything over that is a pass for most of us, its not the time for a +$300 figure (at least for me)
