I just got Mech Assault 2. Its even better than the 1st one. Of course my xbox crapped out on me.
I also got Metroid Prime for Wii. Its not quite a robot game, but a robot armor and its still fun.

I remember that game. It was pretty hard, box art was neat though. any TG16 games mentioned, i recall a few but cant remember any names.
Also, not sure if it was mentioned, and im terrible with names. but anyone remember the snes light gun game where you took on a series of one on one mecha battles. had pretty sweet graphics and some cool ass designs in it.
Shatter hand on nes, he had a mechanical arm.

Shatter hand on nes, he had a mechanical arm. Battle Clash was the one that played with the Super Scope : ;D There's one game that I never played, in fact I never did more than look at the box, but for some reason it's stuck with me, mostly because I can't remember for the life of me what it's called and I'd love to find it and finally play it. This was a PC game, but came out during the Playstation era, and it was a game featuring an isometric point of view and a little robot that was shaped kind of like the ship from R-type. There were a lot of blue colors, and the game advertised huge boss battles and ... jumping? If anyone has ANY idea what I'm talking about and can let me know, I'll love you forever and ever.
EDIT:
Oh, and a fun one I remembered while looking (again, fruitlessly) for the above game: Z (pronounced Zed). A funny and well made RTS game that puts a heavy emphasis on action and fast paced zone capturing. The various types of robots you build all have personalities and morale, and will plead with you not to send them into battle if they're outgunned.

Kinda sad that no one mentioned Gotcha Force for the Gamecube. It was a hybrid between Virtual on and Pokemon where you use little robots, vehicles, and androids to defeat enemies. Heres a video ;D!

Tiny Tank PS1
It is a game about a robot tank mascot that has to destroy a robot army and add more weapons as he kills each robot.

Just dusted off the PS2 , and started playing the Transformers game again. I actually like the gameplay, and the worlds are pretty good to explore.

It is a good game, with a good challenge, I just wish it was a different series of the TF cartoon. It would be cool if the same team made a G1 game etc...

I hear you, coldiron, on the weak line it's based on. Mostly goofy designs, (except perhaps the awsome Tidal Wave, cool toy) what was it, Armada? I remember when this game was released, SO much hype, as the only big media Transformers thing happening then. I bought the game before I even had the PS2, LOL!

There was a G1 game for ps2, but it was only sold in Japan. Apparently, it was pretty bad and didn't sell well.

The designs did not bother me near as much as the story, dialogue or racial stereo types. The poor little mexican kid got the short end of the stick all the time. And I would have to say armada prime was the biggest girl thingy and worst leader of all the primes. I felt like the same writers for the show had to be the same people who wrote pokemon or something. And I think minicons are some of the worst friggin ideas ever. I liked mini bots like back in the day, but these super powered combiner robots who could destroy a planet when attached to someone but could not defend themselves from a mentally challenged half nazis robot does not seem right. Oops, I think I can has a rant?

Technomancer and R.A.D. are F_CKING BADASS. anyways Just thought that Lost Planet for xbox 360 should be mentioned. Their are several mecha your character gets to operate, some walker/destroid types and some very cool Votoms inspired designs as well. The game takes place on a frozen world, it's like "The Thing" with robots!
