Hmmm. Robot focused RPGs for 360? I dunno. RPGs in general on the 360 are a bit sparse. Resonance of fate ... has robots IN it, and is a pretty cool game. It's also got one of the more unique (and, at first, confoundingly difficult) battle systems of any RPG I've ever played, which I suppose shouldn't be a HUGE surprise since it comes from Tri-Ace and they love them some unorthodox gameplay systems.
I really need to finish it. Hrmmmmm.
Alternatively, Star Ocean: Last Hope is all space-sci-fi-ey. I haven't played it, though, so I can't offer much more input than that.

Yeah I've got Star Ocean, any game where you put in a 100+ hours is a awesome game. But yeah RPG's on the 360 are nothing compared to the PS3, I'm just looking for a game like Xenogears or Front Mission 3. Those are some of my favorite games and I'm just looking for games like that just with modern graphics.

I'll stick with my Resonance of Fate suggestion, but other than that I've got nothing. Even for the PS3 the pickings are fairly slim; nothing like the mountain of PS2 RPGs I've got by my TV.

is there a game of super robot where you play the pilot ?? Robot Alchemic Drive is a game where you pilot a Super Robot, Giant Robo/Tetsujin 28 style (on foot, looking up at the action). It's pretty neat.

At 1:09, it's probably "Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth". fafner.jp/h-and-e/Don't ask me if it's good or what's the story, I wasn't even aware of its existence until I googled it a minute ago.

Thanks guys I'm glad they're still doing Robot-based Anime, things seemed to have slowed down in this genre. I've heard of Muv Luv, I might check that out, same with Fafner. Gold

Halo4 has a pretty cool mech in campaign and online. It's also getting the megablock treatment. Hopefully more toys as well. I would love for spawn toys to make a version in scale with the figures.

Roughly about ten years ago a guy who calls himself "VectorMZ" (google for the website by that same name) released a 3D scrolling game rendition of Mazinger-Z teaming with Great Mazinger against a bunch of mechabeasts. But that game was in Spanish, and it was just a trial version. You didn't pilot Mazinger from the inside, but you do get to pilot Mazinger in 3rd person by moving a 3D Mazinger with your joystick or a mouse/keyboard configuration. Whenever I tried it the game would crash (I used an old Pentium2 back then); and I was frustrated trying to figure out all the configuration setups and weapons keys which were in Spanish. After that I just gave up and deleted the game from my computer, installation files and all. -------- As for piloting a Mech, I still have an old PC game titled "Gnome" (www.7thlevel.com) that's a pretty decent fps if not quite cool. It was released in '97 as 7th Level's first 3D first-person-shooter game... ...You're in the cockpit of a mech that looks like ED209 (from the original Robocop movies), going on missions and blasting stuff along the way. Other mechas and ships blast back at you. Nothing spectacular. I only kept the CD so I could rip all the cool mech sound effects the game has, and use those sound effects for my Maz movie project. You can find the game here... www.squakenet.com/download/g-nome/2003/Chances are it might not run in later Windows systems, unless you set the compatibility for Win95, 98, or 2000, whichever works best. Recent Windows systems may require you to run it under Administrator Rights (Vista, Win7, and Win8) I dunno, I haven't Windowed past XPsp3. lol zozo-mag is there a game of super robot where you play the pilot ??

Damn, that squakenet link.
Alright, no problem... if anyone wants a copy of the game shout for it and I'll upload it from my CD version. Besides, I owe RJ a Christmas giftie for all you Ho Ho Ho's. ;D

The mech hud reminds me of that of those from Metal Tech. The Sierra Mech Warror games where its essentially Terminator meets mechwarrior.
