Looks like a solid release. Watched ToysTV review, and joints are nice and tight. I like it better than the OVA original look, though still not a big fan of Bandai's shield design. Would have preferred this shield instead, or something similar. The Bandai's design looks kind of random (the illustration never showed the front of the shield, so they made up something for it, but even the shape is off). Anyhow, can't wait to receive mine.

I was surprised the OVA version didn't come with the shield that the Plamax kit includes.
Regardless, this Phantasm release looks great. I don't even mind the liberties taken with the shield. My only nitpick would be that the connections for the wings and aura converters look like an absolute afterthought.
But it's on the back, never appeared in the art, and allows for great poseability besides, so I figure it's more than a fair tradeoff.
I wonder if they'll keep going with the Phantasm line. Still a bunch they could do. Could even release a Phantasm Gedo with a big sofubi tortoise to ride into battle.

There was at least the skinny pink one shown in the Tamashi Nation a couple months back. That one is very cool. But yeah, they could keep going on the Phantasm line for at least 3-4 more designs before they get too niche (though I don't mind). We only have 4 made out of this bunch. I particularly want top far right, mid far left, mid far right, and especially the Brownie II on the bottom far left.

I forgot they showed off the Skullma. I take that as a good sign.
I'd be most curious to see how their Sirbest or Bodune would turn out.

That does look really good. I've always been partial to the Zero's design despite not being a Wing fan.

Wow. Really nice collection! Aye. Nice display, too. I have underestimated just how snazzy those shiny black stands can look.

Skullma is up for order. Web exclusive. And they gave it a b*tchin' scythe.
Looks like Phantasm versions of the Drumlo, Bozune, and Dana-O'Shee might be in the offing.

The new Sirbine is awesome by the way. Just opened mine, and joints are very tight all over, with no issue balancing and the shield arm/hand not drooping (though I advice not to move it around a lot, loosening the wrist & shield handle joints, as it still has some weight from that big shield). The underside of the Aura Converter (backpack) is actually very glossy (wet look) with gradient orange paint, makes it look very organic, like looking at some internal organ of a creature. Overall proportion is very slick and more streamline, making the already very nice looking OVA Sirbine looks clunky when put side by side with this one (head sculpt is definitely an upgrade if you see it in person). Casual collectors may not want to double dip on the same character and dismissed this release, but they are missing out big time passing on this one. The new 'Illustration ver." Sirbine is the more superior figure out of the two.
Minor gripes on the shield pattern design Bandai made up that doesn't match the mech's relief & accents very well, and the sword hand not gripping the sword handle as tight as I would like. But due to the design of the hilt, it locks like a handcuff so the sword won't fall off. Just a little wobbly.

Sounds great. I might end up collecting some of these Fhantasm battlers yet. Really interested to see how they handle the texture and color on the Gadram.

It is a logic 'next candidate', since they kind of covered most of the different body types (heroes, baddies, beefy, skinny...etc.). The round dude being next is a good and logical choice. It is a very unique looking grunt, and now with the Fhantasm flair, even better.
