Gadram looks great. I'm a little disappointed with how the colors turned out. And the lack of surface texture. But the sculpt, poseability, and weapon choices are on point. bbs.toysdaily.com/thread-468455-1-1.htmlHope they keep cranking these out. Still waiting to see how the TV Gedo turns out.

Looks like they shrunk the cockpit a bit on this guy, looks really cramped in the last shot. But not a big deal. So happy with this line keeping going this far. I am ready for more.

It is the TV version though, not Aura Phantasm... Yup! I'm pretty sure it's the last mold they needed to finish all the TV series battlers. They've been teasing it for years now. Not sure I'll get it, I need a better look before I decide that, but the TV Gedo is one of my favorite battler designs.
That Gedo boxart they recreated is an old favorite as well.

The SIC Gedo, I like quite a bit. Too bad the toyline died off prematurely, and the translucent plastic they used didn't stand the test of time (some of mine turned brittle and broke at some joints just from displaying after a number of years)

fyi.
The newly-released RD Gundam Ez-8 ver ANIME has been reported to have a glaring manufuacturing defect by the japanese fans, as documented by Hacchaka.
I can confirm that I, too, got Bandai'd with my just-received Ez-8.
My pics of the defect on mine are over at TFW forum:

Sorry to hear about the defect legs. Heard someone got 2 left abs on the SHF Kamen Rider 1 Old ver. as well instead of a pair of left & right. Not widespread like the EZ8 legs though. And Bandai messed up the Flight Pack fin joints on the initial batch MB Red Dragonics so the hinges bending the wrong side. Hopefully this is not setting a trend... Who would have thought years after the term "Yamatoed", we now may have a new one, "Bandaied".

My RD Gedo arrived today. It's . . . way better than I was expecting. Like, way, way better.
QC is amazing. With most RDs I end up cleaning and hiding maybe a dozen sprue marks. Took me forever to even find any sprue marks on this thing. Not sure if they molded all the parts differently to put all the sprue connections in hidden places or what, but it's immaculate. I finally found two tiny sprue marks on either side of the pommel you detach from the hilt in order to fit the sword in his hand, but that was it.
This thing is surprisingly solid for such a small battler. Joints are nice and tight. Much more satisfying in hand than the similarly-sized Dunbine RD.
Articulation is impressive. The head/neck has a great range of motion, in addition to being able to extend the head up and out or have it turtle-down with it's head protected by it's collar. We've had similar neck joints on battlers before, but this time around it looks better and is far more fluid to pose and with a greater range of motion. And the cables at the back of the head have plenty of play and don't impede it at all. It's also got double jointed elbows and knees, and the claws in the back of the calves can fold out of the way.
The way you can hide the port for the attachment of the scabbard is clever and well-executed, and really goes above and beyond what they needed to do for screen accuracy. It's a simple little thing, but it works so well.
I was expecting just another RD of a mech I like, but this little thing is fantastic. I doubt it'll ever happen, especially now that they've finally finished all the TV battlers, but I'd love to see them revisit the Dunbine in more show-accurate colors and with this kind of engineering. It's weird having a background mech from the early episodes that so thoroughly outclasses the toy of the title mech.

I haven't seen any reviews for this thing yet, so here are some quick (potato quality) pics. Guess Spock approves.

Not sure approval is the right word. Spock is . . . intrigued.
Okay, more potato pics incoming. Even worse this time cause I'm tired and can't be arsed to do better. I got inspired by this screenshot Bandai used in their Gedo promotion. Then I went and found some scrap balsa wood in my workshop. I got this far before I thought to take a progress pic:
I just got this stupid idea in my head, and next thing I know, I had wasted three hours making a Kingdom of Ah style Gedo boarding gantry.
I still need to trim and sand it a bit. And then I'll stain it.
But that'll wait till tomorrow.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
