i think even if it doesn't have that much diecast-- it is the only accurate looking Makanda available-- I think I will be biting when this becomes available :-)

As long as it shoots biting sharks out of it's feet, all is good.

I really jumped when I first read this but unfortunately it's under the Mecha(nical) Action Series (MAS) line. That line is a a pvc figure line for CMs Corp and will not have any diecast. A standard MAS figure size is around 5" tall. The MAS line has turned out some decent Braves figures. With Gaogaigar being the most usual character done (the MAS has better paint and joints than the Yujin GGG figures). A standard MAS figure also has more heft than a standard Revoltech figure. No idea on how it stacks up to the Yamato GN-U figures since I never bought those. Gold

Oh man, is this the "shark kicking" robot? Sweet. It's also the robot that literally "grows" after it's combined(started happening in the second season), pretty much defying everything we know about physics. ;D Gold

It's been easy to pass on most of the recent CM's stuff save for Goshogun & Gakken
However, I'm definitely picking this up though, if they have a die-cast transforming version.

can a pvc have a metallic looking color? one of the version will be metallic, plus there will be a DX version... will it be like the gasshin set? all the thinking is making me hungry :/

i hope they dont do any mail in coupons to get one of them, and hopefully they do the DX a full diecast, with nice box art, and big, just like the gift set

They would be very stupido tosell this thru coupon. The best business strategy would be to sell a bunch first whether limited run or ala SOC & see how strong the demand is. Then, coupons later on, or reissues. And since a bunch of Pinoys are awaiting this, it will definitely sell well specially if the quality is good. I just don't know how popular this guy is outside the Phils.
