Yeah, I was a little confused by that translation too when I tried it. I don't know if the "combination body" refers to the combining Tricars and Mekanda Max or if the text is referring to when the ships dock into Mekanda or if it's referring to the DX's ability to combine and the ST version not being able to disconnect. sigh..

Is there any diecast in this thing? If not then maybe this should be moved to another section.

With the announcement on CM's site that it's only going to be PVC ABS and PC, so I guess there really is no diecast. Gold

New updated images. The Miyazawa repainted version. Mekanda Max DX is huge! With the vehicles that big, I can see why the price mark is practically doubled. Images courtesy of blog.hobbystock.jp/ and Toysdaily. Gold

If the vehicles are that large, can it actually combine?

when you say-- repainted version....is this an offcial version or it is custom painted by "Miyazawa"?

I look forward to your thoughts on this one 00silvergt. I'm curious about the quality and types of plastic used.

Just arrived here in the PI... Am quite surprised of it's weight. For a medium sized box it really weights so light. The boxtype is comparable to that of the Yamato Danguard Ace (cardboard is not thick enough, hence the corners are prone to bumps). Will update once I have the time to open and check the contents - one for me and one for superanimerobot - big thanks to omniclone of ebay

The lightness of the item did trigger my curiosity that upon arriving at the house I opened and checked it out. Thought of sharing what I found out about it... Aside from being light in weight, the box is kind of soft (easily squeezable as if nothing is inside) esp. the back part. As I opened the box and released the content. This is what I found out.... The items are contained in a plastic tray... no styro nor any kind of additional support. Easily, it reminded me of the plastic tray of Abarenoh. Also included is a piece of paper which serves as a manual Combining Mekanda is as easy as ABC... just grab a part and connect them together, alas..... MEKANDA ROBOSeveral things that needed attention..... - It's true, there's no diecast... not an ounce  - The plastic used is somewhat comparable to that used in the Mecha Collection Model kits (Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Getter1 and Reideen). Yes, it felt as if you're building a model kit. - The Neck's peg (1) is somewhat larger than the hole on the thoracic area(2). Don't know if it's only in my unit... BUT, I literally scraped a lil of the said peg in order for me to connect the head to the torso. I did not try to enlarge the hole cause am afraid that I might produce a very large hole and end up having a very loose head and torso connection. - Be careful in connecting the neck area to the torso.... there's a chance of breaking mekanda's bilateral ear antennas (3). Here's a pic of the said issues:- The disappointing grayish, black rectangular shaped joints are back. They tend to fall off here and there. In my unit, the left knee joint would not even stick in place :x Got me no more time to check on the combination vehicles and robot. Will try to check 'em out once I get some more free time... Oh well... all in all, mekanda followed the faith of his predecessors from CMS such as Gaiking, Raiking and Balking. They all have nice aritculations/great for posing BUT because of the said grayish rectangular joints they tend to be soft and the playability factor's decreased.... : Anyway, if there's a plus factor here, that is... this is Mekanda.... why not?? ;D
