this jumbo is available on ebay. to bad the shipping is $90. Yeap, that's about how much Amiami and even HLJ are charging to ship this Jumbo figure via EMS - which is the only way they will ship it due to the high price of the item. }\

Well, the most important thing now is that you finally got the Shin Maz jumbo- it'll be a great asset to your collection... I've seen your old Tripod "Mazinger" webpages from way back in the day, and I can tell you're very particular about the Maz specimens you collect. Many of them look almost "vintage" by now, especially the ones that look like they're from the old Banpresto line... I like them. Great Score, bro! zozo-Magengar

I guess that also proves how light-weight the Neo Maz jumbo is, as well. Perhaps not as light-weight as shampoo bottles... ...I'm just hoping the plastic on this jumbo will be as faithfuly thick as the classic jumbos.

Well I got it today. It is nice, but I don't think it is "$200 USD nice" (almost or over $300 USD with shipping): Not really impressive features, for example, the "shoulder joints" are racheted, but they make this "CLANG" sound every time you move them, sort of like the chinese steel relaxation spheres you twirl in your hand. Then theres the "where the hell is Koji Kabuto" fact. Was it really that hard to jam a little static figure of Koji in the Pilder? Come on!!! This Neo Jumbo is not really that heavy, but I do think it is heavier that the 1970's version - no I'm sure it is. Not much more to say about it, other than it comes with an extra set of firing rocket punch that look just like the SOC's but way bigger. I guess if you are a die hard fan of Mazinger this is a good thing to buy. However, if I would've had achance to fiddle with this figure before I bought it, I probably would have waited until it came down in price to at least $150 or less... ...well, maybe not. }D

Damn, I ENVY YOU!!!!!!!!!! ;D Hey, if I had magic powers- I'd shrink myself down to size and pilot that thing! ;D You're right- the manufacturer should've gone the extra "Umph" and at least molded a seated-position Koji man to go in that Pilder. The detail insisde of it looks nice, and the entire sculpt of this specimen looks awesome. Damn, and he looks HUGE, too! Well, about 2' "huge", but still a sight to behold. And the big Nice thing about it is that it Doesn't have them old classic funky Jumbo wheels under his feet... I never liked the wheels idea. Congrats on your new haul, bro! zozo-Magengar

OMG it's big!!!!! The head sculpt is pretty amazing. Can you do a size comparison shot of the pilder and the PX-01 / 04? Does the cockpit open? Would the PX-09 Kouji fit inside? Would the PX-04 pilder fit inside the jumbo's head???
BTW, time to get a new chair. j/k.

Ha, ha... the chair is not really old, the material changes the shade of color depending on which direction it is rubbed. ;D The jumbo is big, but not THAT big. There is no way that the PX-04 Hover Pilder would fit inside! You can actually see the PX-04 next to the Jumbo Shin Mazinger in the second and third pictures. The Koji figure will definitely NOT fit inside the Jumbos Hover Pilder. I don't think the Jumbo Shin Mazinger's Pilder canopy opens up, but I didn't try to open it either. }D

You're right, the PX-04 is way too big to fit inside the jumbo's crown-- so then, neither will the PX-04's Koji figure.
The canopy looks deceiving because it has them tiny molded snap-tabs to keep it secured in place... it probably Doesn't open. If the canopy doesn't open, I wouldn't try to force it open if I were you.
Granma sez "if it aint broke, don't fix it." ;D
That jumbo looks really huge, because it's on that top shelf close to the ceiling. Note all the other smaller figures and models around him... ...that's what's making him look so huge. LOL!
Punchcar! I spotted an MC Mazinger in that there crowd right there! ;D

That's fine, people can disagree. That doesn't change the fact that this figure is not worth the current price tag... not even close! BTW, for those that learn the hard way, if you live in the USA and purchase it from BBTS, it will come out cheaper than if you buy it from overseas, even with the mark-up. Shipping for the humongous box is INSANE from overseas... }D

I noticed another one. I'm learning to spot them by their look, from a distance, so I'll know how to tell an MC from SOCs and other similar-looking figures. My MC Raideen arrived yesterday! ;D Back on topic... Have you watched Inframan's youtube video review of this bad boy? zozo-Magengar Come on man... you only spotted one?!!! I'm dissapointed... }D

Come on man, there's more than two! No, I haven't watched that video. After messing with mine I'm just not feeling much love for the thing anymore... If I wasn't such a die-hard Mazinger collector I would offer it up for sale just to get my money back.

Ok ok ok, I'll keep lookin for the others there. ;D Seems like the jumbo SM didn't impress you much. Don't lose faith, perhaps it'll grow on you later. On the bright side: At least this Maz version jumbo has a true sculpt and detail, especially its face and that Pilder, compared to the vintage Mazinger-Z jumbos from way back in the day. zozo-Magengar Come on man, there's more than two! I hope so. It may be that I don't like the Ishikawa Shin Mazinger design as much as I like the Toei one. So, I put the Jumbo Neo Shin Mazinger back in its box... were it will probably stay for a long time.
