I don't have one <Yet>, so I really couldn't tell you about that Pilder's windshield. But, keeping our fingers crossed, eventually someday sooner or later someone might find a way to hack the Pilder assembly so as to open the windshield and place a small custom Koji pilot inside. Like you, I too am drooling about getting this jumbo. I've already stated many times what I like so much about it. I can't help feeling GaGa about the fine sculpt and detail of this jumbo... ...it looks faithful to its anime series. That car tire would look great beside my computer desk! ;D zozo-magengar

Exactly what I want to do. But I want to display it with the windshield open, so just being able to remove it would be fine. The pose I have in mind is the one he takes for his Mazinkaiser OVA entrance, against Ashura's Kikaiju squadron: I'd have to sculpt the figure myself. Koji figures are already so rare, I doubt there's a gashapon in that pose, let alone of the right scale.

Sculpt it you must, especially in That scale size. By the time any gashapons of human pilots are made this hobby will be saturated with customs all over RJ. ;D

Wrong Mazinger version for that...
Mine is back in it's box. I really don't feel any love for this jumbo. If I wasn't such a fan of all things Mazinger, it would be up for sale already.

Wrong Mazinger version for that... ... So if I sculpt a little Koji in this Mazinkaiser pose, it will auto-destruct if I dare to put it in this Shin Mazinger pilder? Who cares if they're not from the same anime? They're both Mazinger Z and both piloted by Koji Kabuto (wearing a very, very similar suit, if not exactly the same).

There are differences between Shin Maz and the classic Maz, as we know. There are some fans who weren't happy with this Shin Maz series for what it is... ...the robot itself is a modern one, by a different artist; while other fans are firmly grounded on the classic Maz for what it was in its time. I can discuss about it in another thread later on if we'd like. zozo-magengar Wrong Mazinger version for that... ... Hey, you can do whatever you want with your figure, but it is still the wrong version. As a matter of fact, this version of Mazinger was not even made by Mazinger creator Go Nagai. This one is courtesy of Mr. Ishikawa, the Getter Robo guy.
Yes, it will probably self destruct out of shame...

No it isn't the original series, nor a remake of the original series. More like a different universe. ;D I honestly don't know why this series was made. But it left much to be desired in some areas. Many fans felt dissappointed by it.
I enjoyed this series for what it is. But I would've enjoyed it better if it stuck more faithfuly to the original series. By that I mean: it doesn't have to have that childhood adventure factor... it could've carried on with its storyline if the focus were directed towards the main characters of the series.
Adding elements like "Zeus" and the "Kurogane Five" and all them other new characters became distracting and somewhat annoying (speaking for myself. I can't speak for all Maz fans).
The only thing I don't like about this new Maz robot version is that it looks like the Mazinger OAV version and still calls itself Mazinger-Z... The Maz OAV version was the original drawing concept from way back in the old manga days. I had a hard time digesting the look of the extended armor beneath his chestplates, but at least the focus was on Mazinkaiser.
When Toei acquired the rights to broadcast Mazinger-Z, the manga Mazinger-Z got redrawn into the Mazinger we're familiar with (black body, white limbs/blue forelimbs, and sharper pectoral chestplates and such).
But, anyway, this goes much more beyond the physical appearance of the robot. Different writers were also involved... it's as though Go Nagai didn't have anything to do with this series.
This is just my opinion.

Krimpov use some hero clicks they should be pretty much the right size to do a kitbash of Koji and you probably wont need to sculp anything just by choosing wich part to put together.

Hi guys, I passed up on Neo Jumbo Maz but here's a quick look at Shin Mazinger Z Blu-Ray mail-away Exclusive Zeus figure. It was selling at a local store for roughly $240. It came with Shin Mazinger Z Blu-ray Boxset Vol.1. It contains the first nine episodes of the series. SRP for the Boxset is 19,000 Yen. So I guess it wasn't too bad a price for the whole package (damn DVDs and Blu-Rays are expensive in Japan). Extra contents include a booklet and catalogue. Zeus comes as is, no trays, just simple cardboard packing inside the box. I'm not entirely sure how the promo mechanics for Zeus went but as I understand it, one mails in the coupon included with the Blu-Ray boxset to avail of Zeus. Whether or not Zeus is a lucky draw or a guaranteed item per coupon is a mystery to me, as there doesn't seem to be any indication of including additional payment for Zeus written anywhere (I don't have the coupon with me though, I guess the seller used it to avail of the figure). Zeus is made from Vinyl plastic and stands roughly 10" tall. He has articulated shoulders, wrists and head (not sure about the legs but I couldn't see any joints). Rotating the joints can be a bit tricky as most joints seem too tight for comfort (particularly the head and wrists). Accessories are packed in a baggie. They include a support stand block and Zeus' staff. I forgot to take a measurement but I believe Zeus's staff is 16" tall. While Zeus can stand without the support block, it does tend to tip over backwards due to the top heavy cape. The placing of the support block is also somewhat awkard. With Gx-45 Shin Mazinger Z. The scale is off though, in the series, Mazinger is meant to be the size of Zeus' right forearm. (Maybe the Shin Mazinger Trading figure might be the proper scaled figure to pose next to Zeus, forgot to give it a try). Gold

Nice show and great score there, Gold! Yes, ShinMaz is very small to Zeus in the series. Posing Zeus here with the GX-45 gives off a nice dramatic vibe (the second pic down, showing Maz in fighting stance)... photoshop a cool radiant background to that pic and it'll make a nice wallpaper.
So, it seems this dvd set is available in three volumes? (26 episodes= 9 episodes per disc... three discs per volume). Seems like a decent price with the extras thrown in. At first I thought the Zeus figure was included with the dvd box set through a "special edition purchase" online only; but I see here the coupon must be sent in to redeem Zeus.
Just the coupon/Zeus factor alone could yield sharks who'll snatch the coupons away and sell the dvd sets apart, then they'll try to redeem Zeus figures and sell those online at ebay for outrageous prices.
