Thanks Magengar, I'm not sure about the DVD release but on the Blu-Ray, it's 3 episodes per disc, so it will actually take 3 boxsets to complete the series. Ouch. I think I'll pass on completing the Blu-Rays. LOL Yeah, Zeus definitely is recast worthy, especially at the prices they're selling him. Gold

THREE episodes per disc? That's hard for me to believe, really! Please pardon my shock. I've never gotten into Blu-Ray dvds yet, so I don't know how they're structured file/folder-wise. I was looking at it from a regular dvd's perspective... I was able to fit nine episodes on one dvd. But then, of course, the eps I have are downloaded mp4's from last year's d/load link posts in the forums. Zeus being recast-worthy = repros and knockoffs. I'm not disrespecting the idea. On the contrary, Zeus in Any form would be a welcome treat as long as the prices are reasonable and the Zeuses become available world-wide and the detail is seriously on point. As a collector, I'd like to own a recast Zeus for the nostalgia of the character. At least He added some substance to the series. zozo-Magengar Thanks Magengar, I'm not sure about the DVD release but on the Blu-Ray, it's 3 episodes per disc, so it will actually take 3 boxsets to complete the series. It seems like the price is about the same, give or take, everywhere.

I have more questions...
What's a good price for it?
Do you think it will every go on sale?
Will this line continue to produce other Neo's?

There's no actual "good" price for it. What you see and get is a modern jumbo with additional accessories, greater articulation, and better sculpt features than the classic jumbos ever had. Also we're paying for the cost of the box itself as humungous as it is, and with all that fancy artwork on it. I'd pay $100-150 for it if I could, but that may never happen- -unless I bought one Used/Box damaged, or whatever. Big Bad Toy Store (BBTS) has it for $259.
It may take a while for the price range to drop, but it won't be significant. Though I wouldn't be surprized if later on these neos went on sale for higher pricing, because hawkers would luv to take the advantage of the 'marketability' of these neos. I honestly couldn't tell you.
As for this line producing other neos, I doubt it. This neo Maz jumbo seems pretty much like a merchandise gimmick to promote the series after it was run. If any other neos would ever be made, they'd probably be one or two enemy robots from the series-- --most likely Garada-K7 and either DoublasM2 or GhostFire, since these would be easier to make.
I think there would have to be a serious popular demand for it in order to see more neo jumbos made. But so far, it doesn't seem to be catching on with the current generation. And, of course some of us who've experienced the '70s jumbos back in their day would probably prefer to stay loyal to those early jumbos. (I can't speak for all of us jumbo fans)
Me, personally, I'd like to enjoy Both the modern And the classic jumbos. But I can't afford this right now.

It's good that you mention it... even I haven't seen any hype about that Zeus vinyl figure; not even a negative review nor the slightest reaction. I wonder exactly how many people even scored it. And I haven't seen nor heard of anyone here at RJ scoring it either.

Just bought Neo Mazinger off ebay for $435 all up (Shipping included) and it is so worth it. This thing is amazing but came out before I even knew what mazinger was. The mere presence of this monster in the room is going to be amazing, and it will look GODLY next to my 24" high dream grendizer. I can honestly say of all the mazinger z toys I've seen, this has got to be the best one. (Gx-45 coming in second). It took forever to get approved on these boards so all I could do was feel sorry for that magengar guy who really wanted one of these, don't listen to themazinger sh*tting all over this thing, this is a work of art and dare I say the epitome of mazinger z. Also hell yeah I loved the shin mazinger z anime, was just amazing, and I love that incarnation of mazinger, also why I have the gx-45 atami night version, best Christmas gift ever

LOL.... an old threat revived! YESSSSS! Okay... Hi Dreadnaut! Don't worry, my friend... TMZ wasn't really sh*tting all over this jumbo Shin Mazinger. He's a hardcore Mazinger-Z fan who prefers the classic Toei anime version more than this one, because TMZ grew up watching the original series ever since he was a kid. I'm a fan of the classic Toei anime Mazinger version, as well. Someday I'd like to collect this Shin Maz jumbo, since I already have the GX-45 and 49 SOCs. zozo-mag

I like this Neo Mazinger over the other vinyl version, but not for the $500 - $800 prices I have seen for Buy It Now. There was one on ebay that sold for around $410 shipped more recently.
Been hoping they will give up and drop the prices down around the original range, but not holding my breath on that.

Agreed. I like it. It's huge and neat. I like it way more than the SOC DX that just came out. But it is a Jumbo machinder in name only. It's just a gigantic action figure. And I paid $200 for mine and I'd not pay a cent more. Just my opinion but the $450-800 prices I see ppl asking are not happenin. Nice figure though. Now make a neo jumbo Combattra like this and I might pay a little more. There's just SOOOO much Mazinger, shin Mazinger neo Mazinger shin neo Mazinger, neo new Nuevo shin super new Mazinger stuff out there. Doubtful we'll ever get more of these though. I don't think these sold too well. Probably due to my previous sentence.

This just came in the mail and I have almost nothing negative to say about this piece. Aesthetically it's just about the perfect Shin Mazinger toy/ display available. At just over 2 feet in height this thing has an amazing presence in the room and looks just awesome next to High dream 24" Grendizer (If you don't mind Mazinger being just that little bit taller than Grendizer). I paid a bit more than retail for this guy but all in all I can honestly say he was worth every penny. Initially before receiving Mezinger I was worried that the magnetic arm connections would be loose as some people had reported previously however the magnets are actually quite strong, even shaking the thing they don't drop off. I'm not at all bothered by the lack of kouji kabouto in the pilder, and in fact prefer him not to be in there as it would detract from the aesthetic of Mazinger itself. Another point of note would be that the rocket punch gimmick is fairly decent, mine shoot out a good foot and a half from a horizontal position, farther if angled upwards so that's a nice bonus. My only gripe which is a nitpick at best, because the entire bottom half of the figure is done in one solid vinyl piece as opposed to the entire hard plastic upper half, the sculpt seems to have somewhat of a foreward lean to it, I'm assuming this is true on everyone's version but perhaps not, nobody I've heard of has mentioned this detail. At the same time it doesn't bother me too terribly as it does give him more of a dynamic appearance, so all in all I'm quite happy with Neo Jumbo Mazinger Z. Even though I was late to the party and paid $435 all up for this thing it's still so worth it, definitely among my top 5 favourite display pieces now, and if you like Shin Mazinger Z you'll definitely want to pick this thing up. Hell if my gx-45A wasn't in a different colour scheme I'd probably sell it off now.

Thanks for the update. I think it looks pretty cool, and like the details given to the pilder.
I will keep an eye out and hopefully snag one at some future date.

Ah, you guys are killing me I hate to wait and see if I can find one at a better price and only to see them go up more in price. I have a couple other more vintage jumbos I want to get before spending too much on this one though.
