Guys, just found out recently that the US release of the Blu-Ray is still going, regardless the US Bandai Entertainment branch folded. RightStuf still carries the US release vol.5 (which I didn't know existed and imported), and has the US vol.6 available for preorder at $48 (No tax & free shipping over $49). So if you don't care for the Japanese package and want to save $10-20, you can still go for the US release. The disc is exactly the same as the regular edition. Difference is the extra booklet with some art in it, Japanese on the cover, and if you bought the First Press version, it usually has a cool cardboard sleeve cover.
Wish I knew about it back then so I don't need to import Vol.5. As nice as the extra goodies it has, vol.5 looks out of place from all my US releases. If any of you guys happen to be interested in a copy of Vol.5 Japanese release (First Press with sleeve cover), let me know. I can sell it to you at a fair price. It is in minty condition and only viewed once. That way I can keep all my discs consistently in US version.

Yeah. Go check out RightStuf.com (a very big US anime online store that has been around for a long time, in case you don't shop there much). Gundam Unicorn US version Vol.1-5 are in stock, with Vol.6 release on March 22nd, same release date as Japan.

That's because there's no big distribution deal in place. If you look at Amazon listings, it's not really Amazon but other sellers using Amazon as a store-front. I don't know what happened...
As a non-American, I was already slightly annoyed when Volume 1 was an "Amazon.com" exclusive (it was not available on Amazon.CA). So I had to start a new account on the US Amazon.com site just for that (no free shipping for us Canadians, of course). And then things got weird after that when Amazon.com didn't list volumes 2-3 at first so I started a login at Bandai Shop (which was sort of okay). And then scared the crap out of me for volume 4 when Bandai Ent, USA closed its doors after they took my money... eventually volume 4 shipped but like a month late. Eventually I got sick of this BS so I've been ordering my stuff from Amazon Japan. No mess, no fuss. Sure it'll cost me a bit more but whatever ...at least the market is stable.

Just watched episode 6 on Bluray, finally got to see Full Armor Unicorn in 1080p action even though it was only a few seconds. A lot of explanation in this episode ( I guess it is necessary) and not much action. The "story so far" special feature was just as good as the episode. I don't know why they didn't have an episode 7 preview. Now I guess i'll just have to wait. Anyone know when Ep. 7 is due out?

The seventh and final episode has been confirmed to be an extra-long episode and will be released in the spring of 2014. www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-03-01/final-gundam-uc-volume-titled-slated-for-spring-2014BTW, to put a capper on my above post, my copy arrived a couple of weeks ago straight from Japan with a pleasant surprise (well, it was a suprise because I can't read Japanese so I didn't know it would come with this): it had a bonus disc showing the live presentation of the music of the series featuring dramatic readings from the original cast. Too bad this portion of the bl-ray is not subtitled in English as this was never meant to be consumed outside Japan. But my credit card bill for the month finally did arrive, in case anybody's wondering, what it's REALLY like to order from Amazon Japan... it cost me about $85CAD.

Awesome! Episode 7 did not disappoint. Plenty of action from the get go between the Banshee and the Unicorn. The ending reminded me of the 00 movie trail blazers with the whole evolution thing. It was nice to go back and see some UC history and a see a visit from some very important characters. The extra features also have a nice movie film that sums up the entire UC story. Just ordered my HG Neo Zeong now I just have to find a place to put it

I just watched episode 7 over the weekend on my Xbox. I didn't catch the April update by Recca with the Trailer. I haven't follow the updates because Episode 6 was just the worst in the entire series. Episode 6 was nothing more than a filler and a recap episode. They left it with a cliff hagger where Banshee Norn faces FA Unicorn. I felt it for the 5$ rental, least they could have done is given us a little bit of the action which they gave out for free in the episode 7 trailer.
Anyway, back to Episode 7. Definitely we'll worth the $5 this time. Got plenty of action and wrapped it up pretty good. Although, I am still somewhat unclear with what's was in La+'s box. I don't want to get into details because I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't watch this. It's 90+ minutes with what seems like 80 mins of action and 10 mins of talking. The one thing that I didn't like is that the animation production didn't seemed to be as high in quality as the first 3. It seemed like the details started to slipped little by little.

Guess not many Gundam fans around. Quite surprised there is not much conversation on this, especially when the series wrapped up quite nicely as a very good UC show. And there is just enough 'weirdness' about Full Frontal towards the end (psychedelic scenes relating to newtype, ideologies, & evolution) that it still follows the tradition of the older UC shows and movies, but with a story that has good depth and action overall. It is actually quite clever on how they make the Laplace's Box as a mystery/focal point of the story, yet it is something they already showed in plain site during the series, but still intriging when they reveal it at the end.
I too bought the HGUC Neo Zeong. The box is gigantic! Not sure when to build that thing though, and hoping my Robot Damashii Shinanju would fit in it, since its already pre-built with nice painted details on the figure already.
