Thanks guys! I was planning to use it on the new Aoshima Shin Mazinger Ankoku Daishogun's horns and other sticky parts. I have been lucky so far and I don't recall any of my other figures being sticky, other than the Yujin GaoGaiGars gold parts. Anything that really works to get rid of the stickiness and lasts long is good with me. }D Im sure either would work but I actually used the Tamiya clear on the horns and it worked.

Woah! I just remembered that I do have a set of figures that are always sticky... The Dynamite Gokin Mazingers! I wonder if the clearcoat or future will work on those two!

I have included two links that may be useful. The first is a link to an article about the benefits of using Future Floor Wax with your models/toys. Very useful for eye lenses, windshields etc...anything that has a transparent plastic. I also have used it to provide a factory level finish on re-painted pieces. You just dip the painted piece into a cup of Future and let air dry. Finish is rock hard and fingerprint proof. Used it to dip any vac-metal (chrome) parts that come into contact with fingers that you wish to protect. This will not effect the color of the finish as it dries clear. I wouldn't use it on matte finishes, as I believe it will end up looking glossy or satin but I haven't tried it on those types of finishes. The second link is to a company in Michigan that can re-vac metal your old chrome parts on vintage & modern toys/robots. I have had a number of weapons and the parts that could be removed from my old Transformers and Matchbox Vehicle Voltron re-finished. They look brand new! Pricing isn't cheap, figure $4 a piece for a single G1 Transformer part. For example, it cost me $8 to have both weapon pieces done on each of my G1 Soundwave cassettes. I was quoted $45 to have my Toynami Lion Voltron shield re-done. Although that has two applications of paint plus the chrome. I didn't have it done though because of the $$$. However, I contacted the few companies around the country that are willing to do small orders like this and these guys are a third of the price of some of the outlandish quotes I received. If you need a quote, take some pictures of the pieces in question with a marker (ruler, coin) in the picture for scale and email it to them. Turn around is quick if you do it. I only recommend this route if you have some vintage toys you plan to keep but the chrome has turned black from being handled by dirty kid fingers. I re-vac metallized most of the pieces on my Matchbox Vehicle Voltron, but some of the vehicles couldn't come apart (the chest and hip), so I may end up spraying them a different finish. DESPITE ANYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET, there is NO spray paint on the market that can deliver the look of vac-metal. Believe me, I have spent $40 on now useless cans of chrome paint from various manufacturers that are sitting in my basement. I scoured all the articles out there, bought the brands of paint that seemed the most promising and all have failed. The only thing that works from a paint perspective is this special Gundam metal powder you special order from Japan that you rub over black gloss paint and you will get a glossy dark chrome finish (dip in Future immediately to protect the finish). It looks really good on newer Robot figures, but if you want that shiny & bright chrome finish.......vac-metal baby...vac-metal. Good luck people! www.swannysmodels.com/TheCompleteFuture.htmlwww.vacuumorna-metal.com/content/custom-vacuum-metalizing

That vac-metal service sounds interesting, since I have a sword from the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Megazord that has a bit of chrome wear on it.
