Mine did that as well on my GX-06M, I got pretty pissed about it which is why I like how Bandai is doing tank treads now.

I know it can be difficult and time consuming, but is there anyone here with awesome 3D design skills that could make the tank threads for 3D printing? I have seen tons of them on 3D printing forums, but the ones for the SOCs would have to be customized for each figure. I would do it, if I had the knowledge and skill to make them perfect looking. Then I would have them printed at Shapeways.
So, how about it.... ninjahandz? Xiombarg?...anyone?!

We may as well dab some of this stuff on the rubber screw-hole covers of our diecast figures while we're at it. And I know there are many figures that have rubber screw-hole covers. The Yamato diecast Giant Robo figures have screw-hole covers; so if any of you have it look at them rubber dots in the parts and you'll see what I mean. For that matter, Anything on our figures that is rubber could use this extra TLC. zozo-mag good thinking,But aside from that one figure I dont know of any that have rubber screw covers. They are usually hard plastic like the CMs ones. But yes anything rubber, your right Magengar.

I think Chachipower would have posted his video here anyway, in a matter of time. I'm just anticipating him, he did a great demonstration of how that rubber protectant, which Baron talked about, works and needs to be applied: All credit goes to Chachipower

Ah sorry Baron, I meant credit for the video. Of course you found out (you started thisthread after all). And the music used in the video is some royalty-free music I believe? Kevin MacLeod? Probably. But yeah, the video is his, and now that it's up more people will know about this method

Was just gonna post lol, so yeah Baron this stuff is amazing. I love that its not greasy, smells ok and above all works! Surprised after all this time of being a car guy, I never came across it! I guess rubber seals werent that important to me. At first I was just brushing it on, but I soon realized its most effective when worked in with fingers. It leaves a soft durable finish on the rubber which hasnt worn out yet from handling. Highly recommended, thanks for the heads up Baron I think Chachipower would have posted his video here anyway, in a matter of time. Yes I was an auto detailer for years off and on,and never ran into it,probably since its a foreign item. One other thing chachipower is it works on already greying rubber. It actually brings back the black to some degree.I use several coats,2 to 3 on each piece,it brought back my grendizer treads. Great point on using it on rubber hands too!!andthe working in with fingers is a great idea! your video was much needed now it can get out there! BRAVO!

Yes I was an auto detailer for years off and on,and never ran into it,probably since its a foreign item. I actually could only find it on the US Amazon. I initially tried amazon.de but they had so many different ones and I was too scared to pick one - for all I know, they could have the exact same stuff somewhere in there, but the one that's been mentioned in this thread is a relabeled product for the US market. And dammit, now I have to redo all my treads all over again, I only applied them to the outside and then I actually watched chachipower's video. Doh! I doubt Trider's treads need it at this point since they're still factory fresh. Ideon in the other hand...

Hey guys. Reviving this conversation a little late, but would it be possible to post pictures of the pieces (TF weapons or otherwise) that you had metal vac'd? I've got a couple of vintage toys I've been dying to restore and would very much appreciate seeing an example of the finished product. Thanks much.

Just Saw this : This eraser can smoothly remove bad plating colors without sanding surface. Then goes the colors application + coating...

Dried up and crumbly GX-06 Getter 3 tank treads. 2 years too late. Other affected Chogokins now applied with the rubber protectant/sealant. Got the GX-06M training set at roughly the same time and displayed side by side (same duration), no issues with the Getter 3 tank treads. Displayed in Ikea Detolf shelf since 2006 inside a 7 x 24 air conditioned room maintaining 22-25C temperature. Relative room humidity is around 35-40.
