I do not understand Bandai on these. They sell out immediately and then the price goes up to ridiculous amounts on Ebay. Why don't they just make more? There is never a problem getting SOCs, even years later because of re-releases.
I have tried three times now to get one of the new VF-25s and the VF-29 and AmiAmi and HLJ are always sold out! Frustrating to say the least as I do not want to pay $300!

I think that lately they only produce amounts that are almost sure to sell out with the preorders so that they won't loose money by having to keep stock and have to sell it with a discount.
I guess that times are tough for Bandai too!

Okay this stinks. I checked HLJ last night and no VF25S. I check back this afternoon and it is listed and already on order stop status. What gives? I can't believe I missed the preorder. I was watching HLJ like a hawk. Argh  It would seem I was a little hasty. I think HLJ just put it up as a place holder as it is now available for pre-order. Thought I had missed that one. ;D |

I have yet to see Ozma in stock at amiami, seems to vaporize soon as pre-order opens. I'm a little surprised by it given it's only a matter of time before the armored version Ozma would come out. But again, it could be just because of very low supply. This seems like the beginning of v1 marketing strategy again, release Alto and Ozma standalones first, then fast packs as exclusives, then wide releases of Ozma armor and Micheal/Lucas with fast packs.
Regardless, I couldn't hold out and bought the Alto, who is coming via snail mail........expect to see him in a couple weeks....

Thanks for the great review pinoy78. I am now looking forward to receiving mine from HLJ even more now. What a difference from the original. Glad I only bought a couple of them the first time around.

I got mine yesterday and it is NIGHT AND DAY an improvement over the original release. I still have my old one and am prepping it to sell on ebay so maybe I'll do a quick comparison video before I do to highlight the differences.
In other news, has anyone heard of the fast packs being released for it? Perhaps they'll release the fast/tornado/armor sets all at one and we can pick and choose?

Got the Vf-25f renewal today.
Paint chip on left leg out of the box... I've had it easy so far with macross frontier so it simply was my time. Ghastly nonetheless for a 15000 yen figure. I do not accept the term mass produced simply it's not available that massively!

Got mine today - paint actually looks pretty good, but that'll change after a couple of transformations. I love how slim the fighter mode looks compared to the previous model. I just hope they do the packs as wide releases.

I transformed it to battroid mode earlier and WOW. This is the mode that really sells these v2's. I can't stop staring at this thing in battroid mode. I've got the feeling that the super, armor and tornado parts are going to be web exclusives (*grumble*), but I'm getting them for sure. Michael and Luca and their super parts as wide releases would at least soften the blow somewhat.
