Thanks! Well, I'm currently trying to figure out how to make the neck(s) look better, without loosing range of motion. It is turning out to be a nightmare! Can't seem to be able to visualize how to do it. After that is done, then I'll most likely start on the Garada head. }D

Thanks for the pics, The Great Robot Base! The Sentinel one would be perfect. I wish I could actually see the connections, so I could make them for my figure's necks...

First attempt at the neck modification. Not too bad, but not what I really want... }D

The proportions of the necks suit the heads for giving a more substantial look. The speed and quality of upgrades that the printer and software let you make to both the design and the prototype of a scratch build is amazing to see. First attempt at the neck modification. Not too bad, but not what I really want...

I think I got it now! I started thinking outside-the-box and came up with a pretty good solution. I'm printing the new neck parts right now, and will post some pics once they are complete. }D

This neck design has a good balance of fluid and mechanical in its look. Is each segment of the neck the same shape or do two shapes alternate back and forth in the sequence? I enjoy seeing the design evolution. These are the ones I wanted!

Thanks bro. There's two types of shapes used in the neck: one cylindrical, and one spherical - alternating each other. That has proven to be the best compromise to date. }D

I love this thread and reading all the new stuff. But its now time for me to ask a needs question. I took the plunge and bought a Tetsujin 28 SG-01. Its in good condition but has a few of the accessories missing or broken. So can any of you guys 3-D replicate some parts that come with an SG-01 Tetsujin 28? I need both robots, both figures, the axes, and 1 of the booster jet pieces. Please let me know or PM me if its possible and thank you.

My printer is not the best. I recommend getting the files and then printing them at Shapeways, or someone with a really nice printer. Unfortunately, I do not have that figure, so it would be almost impossible for me to make replica files of those items. }D

You are developing great 3D printer skills with this ambitious figure. Seeing your knowledge of super robot figure design applied to 3D printing this character is great. How does a sphere segment of the neck rotate and stay connected within a cylindrical segment? Is it similar to Revoltech joint design? The three heads of the beast! The time has come to give this project its own thread...

I had not been printing a lot lately, but I did make a cover for this altoids audio mixer I made. I will likely get back into some customs this week.

That's quite a fitting name for a 3D printer, given what you'll be doing with it.
