mrclean08 I suspect you are right and it will not transform. Just as Ive illustrated above! The lower legs have no panels to hide teh upper legs of the individual robots.you can see my demonstration photos.

The reason why he cant be turned into the 3 robots is they dont include upper legs and hip parts like the old one has that folded into the legs. this is what it will look like if you try to make one out of ET version,LOL Below that the original matchbox version see the missing parts! is what is missing from top You will be able to make teh six arm Albegas though. why wouldn't they? Since these are magnets and like all their other toys, i am suspecting them to be extra parts to be swaping in and out. If would be quite useless and dumb to makes no sense if they could be transformed into 3 robots but yet cant's into indvidual ones. honestly, theer isnt much info at all at this point regarding to transformations. I think its best for us to remain calm and wait.

I agree with hetabattousai. Unless I see official info on the ET Albegas, and knowing that ET included tons of accessories with their Jeeg and Gaiking figures (except little Jeeg), I can't affirm that extra parts will not be included for the three robots. I will have to wait until more info comes out to be 100% sure of that. }D

Im just going by what is in the photo, and what was said about there not being able to swap, they may very well have the parts, but it is weird they are not showing the 3 small ones in the photo. But then again why NOT include the parts right?

Yeah all the parts are there they just need to add a crotch section for each robot so it doesn't look dorfish lol.

What part(s) on the original blue robot to the vintage Albegas consisted of the brittle plastic? Was it just the blue plastic? The chrome plastic? Or everything in all?
Reason I ask is I've always wanted to own a vintage complete set; however, I was thinking of repainting a black or red robot and modifying it as close as possible to look like the blue robot. I'd like to steal the blue robot's head, chest and lower leg pieces and swap them out with one of the black or red robot's parts. I have heard it's just the hips of the blue robot that crumble apart?
Can anyone confirm for sure? I definitely would like to try this mod.

Not only the blue plastic was(is) brittle. The blue diecast on the legs is just a brittle too. }D

I am just hoping this piece is about SOC height. 8 to 10 inches would be nice, but someone i think this is gonna be 6 inches top.

I would be surprised if it is more than 6 or 7 inches tall. But I would not complain one bit if turns out to be as big as you say! ;D

I can't tell much from the picture, but I would hope that it would be SOC size... at LEAST. I mean, you can get all the OLD Matchbox Voltron (Albegas) for $300. And each of those guys are around 6" tall.

And unfortunately, regardless where you get the Matchbox Voltron II, and regardless if it is in pristine condition, the Blue Robot will disintegrate in your hands as soon as you start fiddling with it. }|

These figures are really small. If you haven't seen them, check the reviews or ask around on the boards. Usually 6" which is disappointing considering the price. $100+ easy before shipping.

So the assumption is that Albegas would probably be the same.

Is there even a remote chance Bandai could still produce Albegas for SOC?

I guess anything is possible with Bandai. Look at what they did with Danguard Ace... }D
