And unfortunately, regardless where you get the Matchbox Voltron II, and regardless if it is in pristine condition, the Blue Robot will disintegrate in your hands as soon as you start fiddling with it. }| See, I have my 1 set. I barely touch it from the display. I don't want to mess with it for that reason. I know plastics and thought it was a bad batch of blue. I've worked with bottle and tube Blowmolder for 10 years. Reading the threads, I guess its the color concentrate to create the BLUE metal effect. Its been seen across allot of Japanese robot models. But you're right. If we want what was missing - posable, anime look, Die Cast content... Then we need a new Albegas... My hope is with Bandai. They Engineer like they mean it. After the MP Vehicle fiasco, I want a "Blue Chip" type of company backing Albegas.

It would be easier for SOC to do Albegas,no Voltron liscensing Im sure. Its possible. But I do think the next 70s SOC will be Trdfer G-7 they need him to complete teh Sunrise series of Daoija,Daitarn,Zambot and Tryder G-7.He is probably the next most popular robot never made as a modern Gohkin. Then Daikengo ofcourse,GOD where is Daikengo! I want so bad a Daikengo with an alternate fanged face head!

Does WEP have any licensing ownership over Albegas? I hope not.

If it was called "Voltron" I'm pretty sure it belongs to WEP. However, since Evolution Toys is making an Albegas, maybe WEP doesn't have anything to do with it. I would love an SOC Albegas, but only after the SRX, Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter Team, GaoFighGar, and Dangaioh. ;D }D

I've developed this insane obsession over Albegas as of late. Maybe because I know I can't ever own a vintage one that I can play with and transform safely. So SOC Albegas shot up to the top of my most wanted SOC's now.

Give me something I can play with and POSE!!!

How come Matchbox has never been an issue with these?Did they never actually have the liscense? Probably just commisioned to them I guess.

As far as I know WEP was working on Albegas to fit in the Voltron universe as Voltron II. But after the lack of ratings from Vehicle Voltron, Gladiator Voltron was cancelled just at the same time as the Matchbox toy came out.

As for Daikengo, I think that is something better suited for CM's Corp to work with.

I'm thinking the magnetic joints on this Albegas might not be that bad. It looks like the gaps at the knee are close and with the squarish design should keep the floppiness minimal. My only concern is that there's a way to lock in the pelvis, torso, and chest together besides just the magnets? If not you'll have the pelvis turned one way with torso spinning around independent of which way the chest is moving and so on. The shoulders should be ok but I can't see the elbow joints.

I do not like giant robots that function without human pilots controlling them, have teeth, tongues, smile, and make facial expressions. The only ones I can tolerate are the GGG ones, and that is it. }D

Fangs?! Really?! You are going to dis Transformers (Complex design transforming robot that fight each other)? And you are saying that OVER SIZED Giant METAL Robots (Godaikin) that battle Huge Monsters is Better?! Gentleman... Here is the POT calling the KETTLE Black.

You must HATE classic bots like Boss brobot and Daitarn 3 then. Also save for beast wars era transformers (which make since) I've NEVER known them to have fangs or tongues.
OT even if they don't seperate into the three robots just the fact that they can pull off each of the different combos is amazing. They didn't have to do that. We could have just gotten Albegas by his lonesome.

Nope, I just hate TRANSFORMERS. I already explained why I don't like them so I will not explain it again. Classic Super Robots and Transformers are way different things. Super Robots are soulless/non-sentient war machines, needing human pilots to bring them to "life". Transformers on the other hand, are just a mechanical version of a sentient being, regardless of what they look like. To me that concept is only good for human sized/human looking robots but not for giant ones. So, I just dislike them, period. }D
