Really...! Other than a few good things at reasonable prices (DX Mazinger, DX Mazinger Scrander Set, SRC Limited Mazinger Z SKL version), BBTS has really high prices. Who rather pay them so much money instead of ordering from overseas at almost half the price? I just have to wonder...  }| |

I preordered Albegas from Amiami a few minutes ago. Usually I order all my robot stuff from BBTS, but I will give Amiami a chance. I hope I made the right decision.  |

AMIAMI maybe large, but they don't advertise as much as you would think. For example, if you hit EBAY, 3 Mazinger DXs just sold for $500 each. These people didn't research. Point being, BBTS will sell these puppies. Maybe not as many as they might with a better price point, but they will sell.... eventually. |

seriously having extra cash to throw around vs just plain lazy and doesn't check around in today's fast computer world just doesnt matchup.
another thing for BBTS is that, people just pre-ordering them initially regardless of the price. This is like their safety net just in case if it all sold out everywhere. You can always cancel your pre-order and sometimes BBTS do adjust their price once its approaching the release date.
The key is dont ever fall comfortable with one online shop. Always search in multiple vendors and keep on eye on all of them.

$254.99 on BBTS. $265 on eBay. What justifies this piece being so damned expensive? It's only a 6 inch tall plastic toy and it costs more than what I paid for SOC God Sigma or Daltanious. I don't get it.

As a Canadian, everything works out roughly the same for me between BBTS and the different Asian retailers. Shipping is cheaper if BBTS ships from their American warehouse. But their higher price means I don't save anything. Mostly I play a game with the Asian sellers and see which ones I have a better chance of not getting caught by border services to pay additional duty and taxes for importing stuff. This more depends on how big the retailer is and what shipping method they choose. Obviously the big guys like BBTS and Amiami will declare full value and ship using courier services like EMS or UPS and these will always be caught by customs agents.
In the case of Albegas - I'll order from Amiami... So far they have the lowest pre-order price.

Not sure if we'll see huge price drops, both Jeegs and Gaiking are going for around the same as originally priced or more but it most likely depends on the robot. It seems there's less demand for the color variants but considering Evolution seems to not re-issue stuff it might be best to just bite the bullet and pre-order Albegas.

Yeah, no reissues so far on the first releases. Thing with Albegas is, that it is a character that has not been released in modern form yet, that I know of. The anime is pretty good too! Folks are gonna go crazy for it, you'll see. }D |

I don't expect a BBTS Clearance sale. That is wishful thinking.
I think they will sit on them and push a few out at maybe 5% less than retail. As referenced by other toys that they are still sitting on. Maybe the odd ball one, they may want to clear out and give some crazy DISCOUNT CLEARANCE. But sadly, the ALBEGAS will not be one of them. Too popular...

When BBTS puts things on clearance you can guarantee they have about 3 left.Cheapskates.I have NEVER seen a thing in stock that says Clearance above it at BBTS.And I doubt everyone is rushing for some of those clearance items.
and they have preorders on things still that came out in the 80s LOL

I had the Toynami Master Piece Lion Voltron Stand on pre-order since 2007 at BBTS! They just recently, a couple of weeks ago, sent me an email telling me they were not getting the stands and deleted it from my BBTS pre-orders page. ;D

well, here is the way I look at it. The price range and the size and diecast content just doesnt add up equally for me. If it doesnt sell well, then i am expecting a clearance. If it does sell well, then i am pretty sure Bandai or some company will make another version of it. Maybe in few years or longer, but i rather wait.
