Black lion needs to borrow Godsigma design to bulk up the chest.

I love how the Voltron Facebook page keeps avoiding questions about this figure and also Bandai doing a SOC.

I dont know should I get this figure?I dont own one.what do you gusy think?TMZ what do you think? i mean I really want to wait for an SOC,but...how much is this gonna be and has preorder started?I dont wanna go back and check..help? For years, I have been so anti-Toynami MP Voltron. After owning the Miracle Productions Vehicle Voltron and realizing that Vehicle Voltron still doesn't fill the void of a SOC Dairugger in quality, I have eased on my stance on owning the Toynami Voltron. In addition, after years and years of waiting for a SOC Golion, I feel like its unhealthy to my sanity to keep on waiting and get disappointed annually on why we're still not getting one. If a miracle happens and we do eventually get a SOC Golion from Bandai, my life is complete. If not, oh well. I've accepted it's never going to happen anymore. I ended up just spending my "SOC Golion Savings" on a minty Godaikin Golion instead this holiday season. I preordered this 30th Lion Voltron reissue from BBTS for $224.99. It will be a good display piece alongside the wannabe-SOC MP Vehicle Voltron. Yes, I'm eating my words on this board for always bashing the Toynami Voltron, and now I'll be getting one. For the most part, it will fill that "missing void" of a modern Golion in my collection. Also, at least I'll get the satisfaction of getting some photography time from it.

Yeah, if you don't have one already (20th or 25th anniversary) you definitely should get one. It is not a bad figure. It's just a modernized version of the vintage toy, not the anime character. But at the end "Superman is still Superman". }D

Now the question is, is Toynami usually good on their release date schedule? Or are they known for delays? The ETA for this is February 2014.

I have all three versions (not the reebok one tho) and I enjoy them alot. If the joints are improved, it will go a LONG way toward making it a more fun toy. For now, it's a great display piece. Still think I'm gonna get this one, but probably not upon release. I feel like this one will be overproduced and maybe price reduced at some point, but maybe not. The other diecast set still goes for 200-250. I can order this through preivews at my lcs and if they give me my normal discount, it will be under $200 after tax, but I'm locked into getting it if i do that.

Do you know if the Reebok set had painted colors on the lion bodies or was the color molded into the plastic? From the pictures I've seen, the colors especially on the red, green, blue, and yellow lions look like molded plastic color and don't have the "metallic" painted look of the die-cast version.. but I could be wrong. The reason why I'd be interested in the Reebok version is because all plastic figure is much more poseable than die-cast version.

Yep... I owned the Popy version in the 80's, then sold it... Then received a KO version for nothing in 2002... This Robot is missing so far to my collection. I just hope it's not gonna be a future sold out item. -> I can't spend money now in this one... (need more works to fill the bank)

I'm just gonna wait until there's a review about the supposedly new and improved joints

I never realized that there were the blades for the individual lions that are embedded on the sides of the base. Did the previous releases of this figure have those blade accessories? That's a nice beautiful setup indeed. If I had one gripe about it, what came to mind right away is that base: it should be much wider... look at his feet, how they're just barely on the edges of that base. Spread them feet further apart, and that bigazz cat will slip and fall and crash-land flat on his balls. Over all, I like that design. I have parts from the two Toynamy Voltrons... ...the diecast version has trouble supporting its weight-- it fell forward and broke the yellow lion's head snapped right off at the neck joint when in robot mode... On the diecast yellow lion, the head is plastic. Some parts are also missing from lions of either Voltron version which I have... ...I'll either have to make those or find them on eBay. I also gotta find the weapons as well. In the long run, I will use parts from both Toynami versions to build a hybrid Lion Voltron figure to compliment my VV. zozo-mag

If this figure is coming out next month, the news about it definitely is hush hush from Toynami. They don't even have any recent updates on this product on the Toynami website. I did find some actual video footage of it from last year's Comic Con from Sean Long.

I have the Reebok version and the bodies are the same as the regular plastic version. The only difference is that the legs are chrome...What Toynami shojld have done is use the chrome on the metallic 25th version. I have all three versions (not the reebok one tho) and I enjoy them alot. If the joints are improved, it will go a LONG way toward making it a more fun toy. For now, it's a great display piece. It looks a little plasticy to me though, based on the pictures... No die cast here, i suppose? Sorry, dont have time to backtrack through the older threads...
