Also...can we expect to get the same molds of the Robotech line to celebrate their 30th anniversary next year as well? I am predicting yes! Great job Toynami!!! Way to rip-off the fan base with old molds and higher pricing!!! If Toynami reissues anything for Robotech, let it be the Masterpiece Alpha's. The quality on those are completely opposite that of the Beta fighters. It would be nice to have some high quality Alpha Fighters to go with our well made Beta Fighters. I'd hate to know what they would cost though in 2015.

The more I look at the base, I think it is awesome. However, I still love the base/box that came with the SDCC Matty Collector Lion Voltron. That was the castle of lions!!!

I got a question about these Masterpiece Voltrons...
are the Numbers on the Lions stickers or molded on detail?
I find them kinda distracting and would rather peel em off if they're stickers...

The 20th anniversary diecast voltrons were numbered (not stickers) only on the black lion. I don't think he is talking about serial numbering. I think he means the number on the lions itself. Like Black lion is Lion #1 and Red Lion is #2 etc... All of the details on the toynami MPC Voltron is printed on. No sticker decals at all.

After having paid $200 and been disappointed with a Miracle Production MA-01 Vehicle Force Voltron, and years after having paid $60 and been uber-impressed by the all-plastic, non-metallically painted Toynami Lion Voltron, I'm in no way motivated to shell out $250 for a re-released Toynami LV. The light-up eyes don't impress me. The diecast metal doesn't impress me. The stand doesn't impress me. The key and mouth blades interest me, but not nearly enough to convince me to buy this thing.

I checked out the new Voltron this morning. The eyes looked really neat except the batteries were dying but the effect was nice. Almost like a pearly effect... not positive as it was early and I was drinking nigbt before hehe. Itook some shots and JoshB took video of it and the other new Voltron stuff which should be up on CollectionDX real soon

I saw the video, I can pass on getting a second Voltron but that Pyramid figure which is suppose to be "SOC quality" looks very intriguing.

Not sure if Toynami put up the video on youtube for the Pyramid Robot, but it is a pretty cool video.

Here's the video for our visit to Toynami Wow! I'm really loving that Jumbo Machinder Voltron! The proportions and build on that figure look really good. This definitely looks far better than the Shogun Warriors Golion that came out a few years ago. I'm actually more excited about this Jumbo Machinder Voltron more than the Masterpiece 30th Anniversary Lion Voltron now. When is the JMV supposed to be released? And what is the estimated price? OMFG, I'm soooo displaying that at the office! Thanks for sharing Charles!

That jumbo machinder Voltron is OFF DA HOOK!!! It certainly Does blow away the other one that MrClean mentioned. Such tight detail on it!!! DROOOOOL!!! Man, if I could customize my jumbo Voltron to look like That one I'll be the coolest kittie in the Lion Castle! zozo-mag

LOL... Reading the previous posts, I was excited about the Jumbo Voltron and "SOC" like Pyramid robot... And then I watched the video. Jumbo Voltron looked great, until I saw the wheels on the feet, and the stupid "folded legs" sticking from the back. So, Toynamy made a Jumbo of the Masterpiece figure, but without the Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue lons legs showing. Somrone in their design department needs to make up their mind. The Pyramid Robot looks weird to me. When I saw the video, I just couldn't help but to think it is a rip-off of Gurren Lagann. Oh, and thst super long goaty needs to go! In robot mode it sure looks like something else! }D

In robot mode it sure looks like something else! }D I wouldn't exactly say that Toynami made a Jumbo of the Masterpiece figure... the sculpt of the Jumbo Machinder looks totally different than the Masterpiece. For one, the body/torso of the JVM looks a lot more proportionate than the MP's. No super thin waist or the chicken leg thighs. Wings could still be a little more wider on the JVM. Also, the head of the JMV looks so much more representative of Voltron than the MP's. I do agree, the black lions legs at the back don't make sense if the rest of the other lions legs are not visible. But at this point, this thing far outshines the MP's looks that I'll take it. I really hope they make it hollow polyetheline and not solid vinyl & plastic like the previous Toynami Shogun Warriors Voltron. Toynami, if you're really going to label this as a Jumbo Machinder, it better be lightweight and hollow with shampoo bottle polyethline, damn it! lol

LOL, you're right! Didn't have my MP Voltron in front of me. Yikes, that Voltron rally looks like crap! But back to the Jumbo Voltron, yeah, the wheels and Folded Legs in the back ruin it for me. }D

According to George of Toynami, it will not be done in the same process as their first jumbo was done. Its more of how the original vintage jumbo was done. I was drooling when he was talking about it so I cant say with 100% that its polyethelene. No pricing or release date yet, but details may need to be softened up on production piece since this is a printed prototype with sharp edges. I am expecting it will be cheaper.
BTW, if Toynami can sell 1000 of these, Vehicle Voltron will be next. Both will be branded Voltron. CDX Toynami writeup should be up soon with more info
