And pretty soon it will be too many toys and not enough money and not enough display space. And then after that it will be too many toys not enough money, not enough display space, and not enough storage space. It's inevitable. Nonetheless enjoy the journey.

A group member of a facebook group I belong to attended Wondercon today picked up this 30th MP Voltron. He posted this pic on Facebook, but I'm not sure if it's from the Toynami booth (if they are there), or if that's just a 30th Voltron on display at a toy dealer booth he bought it from.

The key on the base looks really low quality. Unless that's just a bad camera shot.

The original release was priced at 120 usd I think! Does the base and light up eyes justify the extra 100 + usd? This is a re release so it should be around same price because no money was invested in development or resources since everything is already done from the previous releases

Bro Kaybee toy store has been dead for years! I know. I meant that as a generalization of the average typical mall shop toy store. From a ubiquitous perspective. zozo-mag Hate to say it but there aren't any mall toy stores either the only ones were kaybee and k&k before them.

The key on the base looks really low quality. Unless that's just a bad camera shot. It doesn't even look removable. I bet its just a large button to activate the lights and sounds gimmick for the base. The original base had a removable diecast key.

Otherwise, it will not be upside-down in the picture.

I saw one of these in person at St. Louis Wizard World Comic Con. The key removable, and you can move the side pieces in order to "transform" the key into key mode or badge mode. When you insert the key into the slot (properly) and slide it to the left, the base's star lights up just like it does on TV -- point by point, and then the center -- and the lion startup sounds play, too.
The base is very impressive in person. I'm still not buying, due to the price tag, but Toynami is grossly underselling this item's features.

I'm hoping I can save up enough to get this. I don't have any of the toynami versions yet so I won't feel like it's a waste. I like the way it looks. It be nice to put him next to my Trendmasters version as I like the more Anime correct versions as well as the original styles. Unfortunately I'm trying to start my Chogokin collection and I'm really eyeing Trider G7 and Daltanious. Too many toys not enough money! Thing is this junk heap isnt anime correct ! Trider G-7 IS!! so go with that or the pretty close to anime correct,(besides the hanging lion legs) Daltanious. No offense guys but what has toynami ever made that fits a professional collection? ......crickets..........I consider my collection professional, and anything "amateur" just has no place in it.

I agree with Baron. If you don't have voltron in your collection and don't want to spend big $$$ I suggest the old Tread masters version. If you want something more expensive then wait for the up coming Infinity Gohkin offering. It looks alot better and has more thought put into it than a ten year old re-release with some fancy new gimmicks.
