they also learning from MT on how to hide the lions legs better Yes nicely done indeed.. as if those claws became non-existent in robot mode. However the way the feet fold's not its supposed to be and still the same way they did with KOB and Matty.. Toynami got it right but is not fully folded. Matty's version was protruding upwards that resulted a kind of a bit awkward or bothersome. KOB done it good by hiding it. Anyway, its quite noticeable in the anime that those lion legs were exposed initially in gattai sequence and became sort of hidden when in combined robot mode. yes, these products still not anime accurate but its still nice to know.. as time goes by, these companies doing some good effort to make it close as possible. and we cant deny them that. So far, this new voltron does it better, makes it more neatly tucked and looks good.

Why would they paint the inside of the screw/bolt for the lions legs...? perhaps to lessen the silver parts when the lion is in arm mode?

I like it but why so big? You can't really display it next to anything that size except for a few large Transformers.

Is no surprise that Toynami wanted to make a big Voltron figure of theres as well, pretty much other companies are doing bigger versions of some of there characters Matty did Voltron and the Ghostbuster's Marsh mellowman, Hasbro did it with there Titan Metroplex and now the recent CW Devastator. There is also trendmaster years ago with the Voltron 3d dimension figure that was done as well both regular Voltron and Stealth Voltron, so i guess Toynami want to get in the action of making big action figures but with Voltron.
However im curious if Toynami where to do a Vehicle Voltron on that size, will he be stable as well lock in place securely?. I mean one thing is 5 machines combine in that size, but VV is 15 components so im concern on the stability aspect of it.

This is not for me at all. How' many fake Voltrons do we need before a real one comes out and we sell the fakers.

The more I look at the Mad Toys head the more I hate it. Looks weird. I wish it wasnt so squooshed.
The new Toynami is yet another rendition, not the true version I want but the head is probably the coolest one of all.
We wont be happy until Bandai gets a shot at it.

ah but they cheated because they use welders. XD Yeah that's true! lol Well, I'm sure Toynami has figured out a way to make this tall Voltron "EX" *** stand sturdy as it is tall. *** I was looking at it on their Facebook page, and they call it some weird designation like "EX" whatever that means.

As for Bandai, the way Toynami's active with Voltron releases, it will take years or a decade before they snatch the license from Toynami.

I wonder if WEP extending the license to the MT KOB rev 2 and allowing it to be branded as Voltron has any impact on what Toynami is doing or planning?

Looks like this is still coming out? From the recent NY Toyfair. Images courtesy of Toynewsi.com. The price will be a whooping 400 USD and release is around Oct 2016. Roughly 18". NO DIECAST! Original article toynewsi.com/news.php?itemid=25994&catid=406Personally, I think I'd rather get 2 Infinity Gokin Voltrons for the price of this fella. Gold
