I figured may as well create a separate thread for this. From the 2015 New York Toyfair Images courtesy of Figures.com and Gren Dammage 7 No idea if this will have diecast yet. Gold

What are those hinges on his chest? Dammit I visit toynami with joshb at The toy fairs and this year is messed up for me. I have no way of getting there. Would love to check it out in person.

Wow, I'm interested! It's good to see Toynami is actually being proactive with this license with bringing us a new jumbo, the Dream EX Goraion, and now this.

some one took Megatron face and put it on Golion joking aside notice the blue and the yellow lions shoulders they move inside and out thats nice feature to have they enhanced the body so much, alot of unnecessary details in my opinion and i dont think they will paint the wings white Still MT have the most awesome Golion

Cool to see! Yes, Chachi has been hinting at other things in the works for a long time.
This had to be in the works with Toynami for a while, like all their projects, and may or may not have been pushed out to public in response to excellent demand shown for MT KOB.
who knows, things like the 3rd party TFs, like the Devastators, the MA-01 & MT KOB crews could've been in, or hired at one point to do design work for some of the big name toy co's, and if projects don't get green lit, some of that design work could be used out the back door, huh? Just theorizing here... too much cool stuff on the market the last few years to all be dreamy designers to take unpaid time making their own stuff.

Wonder what "EX" stands for? Seems to be the popular lettering these days.
Also, the top banner of their booth, the Dairugger/Vehicle Voltron is prominent in the artwork, so they haven't totally dropped that either, HMMMMM..
Some of the separate lions look excellent, as lions. Makes the feet of combined Voltron look a bit smaller then we're used to.

All I want to know is, when will pre-orders open? And when will they start working on the EX Vehicle Voltron?

Has anyone noticed the size of this thing compared to the SD version and the Jumbo? This thing seems much taller than previous releases. Im goung to guess this wont have much diecast if at all... then again if they are using the word Ultimate, it very well should

Much rather see an updated and non-stylized version on Voltron. Didn't get the MT-01 and won't get this.

With something that large, I don't want it to compromise the potential of poseability. I'm super excited the lions have NECKS! Someone over there finally put necks in the damn engineering/design checklist and it's about time. lol

For Toynami to call this "Ultimate," it better have some die-cast parts. Not sure if the engineering (or even color design and included accessories) on this one will beat out MT-01 though. But my curiosity is definitely piqued though...

I'll hold my judgement for now until I see the final product... maybe I'll be surprised but doubtful. I just want Bandai to get a shot at the license for 12 months... and really just give us the SOC release every golion fan has been waiting for. I know golion is not popular in Japan, but based on the interest in the states... one would think they'd be interested in tapping the international market place with this one.

Nice, that's about it. This is yet another modernized version of the vintage Popy Golion. Nobody will even try to make an anime accurate Golion? Ever? The lions' legs still show in combined mode. The lions heads look like dog or wolf heads instead - and way too small. Seems they want to compete with MadToy's version instead of putting something out that nobody has ever done before. May get it, if the price drops enough... }|
