same question as Gold ask, which one is which ? (i made a fried read the article, he told me its the same design only got bigger by the CG) ? also if you scroll down you see a photo from the E manga Dynamic Heroes, i guess they are using it as a reference for Mr.Kazuhiro Ochi work, honestly i liked Mazinger z proportions better in the E-manga either way i dont see anything but minor changes here and there, and there is an articulated fingers ? probably to show that the hand will be connected by a ball-joint giving it more articulation as oppose to the gx-01 models that are a peg-post. there is a lot more changes in this version compare to the gx-01 models, proportions are much closer to the anime desing which makes it a much more improvement to the old gx models. Anyway, i like what im seeing here, looking forward for the full reveal of it. does this mean this mazinger will not come with a hover pilder as well? after all its been base to the movie version. |

Does look like a brand new sculpt when they changed/re-sculpted every single part, even if the changes are like 10% each LOL. I'll try to be optimistic about it until I see the actual prototype. But I am not sure if I like the movie proportions based on the sketch, with the skinny limbs and flat feet. Thought those were the not so attractive aspects that modern toys tried to correct, due to inaccuracy in old animation drawings. The changes made Mazinger look weaker and lightweight, not quite the powerful "god or devil" majin based on today's aesthetics.

One Mazinger that would be different is a battle damaged one. But like all said, it's the 20th anniversary of the line, so my guess it's that it will be a very detailed one. I have many Mazinger from the SOC line, 01R, 07OVA, 49, DX and many other I surely don't remember, and it the SOC line they were very limited in articulation or accessories, except for DX. I agree: Mazinger deserves a SOC figure 18-20cm tall with the details, articulation an accessories of the SRC version. And as said, this could lead also to improved versions of Grerat Mazinger and Grandizer, and this would be very good news, especially for Grandizer because the SOC version is very limited in articulation (except the neck double joint for the "in-spacer flying mode" which I find awesome. Bandai will not want to miss a chance to milk it. As thing stands, gx-70 is unlikely to be anything else other than mazinger since bandai made it pretty clear in their poster. |

i dont think there is any new Grendizer anime coming out, maybe they saw Grendizer Giga manga trailer and thought its a new anime, the manga got poor score almost every where so there is no point of making an anime out if it
