its so unfair to compare it to the first GX-01 at least we should compare it to the GX-01R or better yet the 40th anniversary GX-01 also white limbs will make it more like a child toy not to mention it will looks cheap in my opinion, gray or silver is very neat color to use instead of white (but not always tho) i guess it depend on the figure

Its not that were compairing Great Mazinger with Mazinger? I mean I like the idea of compairing because we can see how Mazinger evolves and how Bandai re engineer this awesome toy. For me GX01 will always be the pioneer of SOC Mazinger, like MP01 Optimus Prime. They are the bench mark of great articulated figures. While GX70 is a regeneration of a new Chogokin era. Its leaps and bound & Im soo Stoke with this new Mazinger.

well you know in this hobby every one have his own preferences, for me i like chrome on the accessories not the figure but some figures looks better with chrome parts i think the color Bandai choose for this figure is very nice and on spot, not so blue like the iron cutter not silver like the older releases but a beautiful mix

Does anyone have an info when the pre-order will be up for this yet? I'm pretty sure it'll be another sleepless, anxiety-driven night for this figure.

now you are cheating bro i said that many times not just for an SOC version but for the DX Mazinger as well imagine the DX with damage broken parts specially on the face that would be awesome add a damage Hover/Jet Pilder and you got the accessories of the year, but somehow Bandai isnt feeling it they can make all plastic i wont care, just like Fewture did with Getter one Damage parts Yeah it's a missed opportunity as they haven't done that kind of thing with their figures. It would add lots of coolness to be able to swap with battle damaged armor.

The White limbed versions of Grendizer and Reideen that Bandai has released actually look better than the silver.

but not always look at the toynami 25th anniversary Voltron plastic version and look at the 25th anniversary diecast version the chrome play a huge role in making the figure more appealing than the dark silver on plastic version, so i guess it depend also for Bandai shiny silver or chrome is a replacement for white in most of the Robot true, it also depends on the figure and on the paint, for the SRC Grendizer they used a pearl white paint which make it looks more awesome and made the other colors more vivid to make the white pop out more if you look at HLpro Z Mazinger white version it looks awful in my opinion the silver one looks way better

I think the silver voltron looked better than the chrome legged voltron. chrome in super robots is not right in my opinion. but chrome looks excellent on the michael bay transformers versions! i agree with you that the silver legged z mazinger from hlpro looks a lot better than the white legged version.
