Maybe they charge up front the shipping and when the item is in stock, if it's under 4 pound, you get a refund. We should ask them. I sent them a question on their Contact Us page...hopefully they'll respond by tomorrow.

Guess the Mazinger isn't 4 pounds...? I'm going through the preorder and it's asking me to pick the shipping option and the cheapest is $50ish CAD. According to BBTS the shipping weight is 2.45lbs Does it mean its free of shipping cost from Anime Island then?😉

Got the answer (yesterday but I didn't have a chance to post here given I was travelling for work): No. Free shipping will not be waived...the answer was odd. Here is exactly what was written...

Like I said, not worthy as a Canadian to order from Anime-Island unless you are really desperate. 50$ shipping from across the border? LOL

Anything shipped to Canada cost an arm and a leg, plus the poor value of the CDN dollar....

Did they told you the weight of the item?

Dont bother doing business with Anime Island. Youll just end disappointed. Might as well deal with hlj, amiami, Nippon yasan or even bbts. Never had problems with them for the longest time im ordering from Canada.

Planning to sell my Hasbro Mp10 Optimus Prime to get this bada$$ Mazinger? It will almost be the same price including shipping. Any thoughts if its equally reasonable?

Planning to sell my Hasbro Mp10 Optimus Prime to get this bada$$ Mazinger? It will almost be the same price including shipping. Any thoughts if its equally reasonable? I got a question, I only had the Takara MP-10 and am wondering did Hasbro skip out on the diecast for the feet sections as well as the inner stem keeping together the torso of the figure? Cause in my Takara MP-10, those seem to be the only pieces I can see and feel being made of diecast.

While a little off topic, I believe Hasbro's has diecast too. I remember mine has it. Its just the color plastic and paint job that was different, but not the material used.

I guess patience is indeed a virtue in this hobby. It's a matter of time til Amazon Canada do the same. Will be watching closely.
