LOL, FWIW, if you're in Canada, you do live in a socialist country. What did you expect? But yes...shipping to this country am the suck. This is why getting it directly from Japan is always the route. So far, none of the Japanese retailers has the Mazinger Version 4534274103294732094321074321th available yet. So, I'll just wait closer to release to get it. I'm sure it can't be this difficult. Or, Amazon.ca will carry it.

Dont bother doing business with Anime Island. Youll just end disappointed. Might as well deal with hlj, amiami, Nippon yasan or even bbts. Never had problems with them for the longest time im ordering from Canada. As much as I like getting the best price or deal, I have found over the years that paying a touch more for solid dependable Customer Service, and vendors that I can communicate with is a good thing, often worth paying a little more for. Yeah HLJ sometimes costs a little more. But it gives me an English speaking CS staff that actually resolve my issues quickly. With overseas purchases I put that in the same category as shipping insurance.

Yes totally agree with hlj customer service. Their english speaking reps are a big help to me. Never had a problem dealing with them for the past years. Thou prices arent that great but Plamo offers great service as well. Just have to look out at their sales offers.

another good reason to go with HLJ is the awesome packaging they have, they are using air bags, decent bubble wrapping and putting extra cartoon parts around the inside of the box which totally professional unlike some stores who put news papers, so everything will stay in place till it get to your door, i shifted from AE to them and im happy with them

Been lurking for a while, but couldn't resist to post on this. First a quick intro: I've been collecting figures from Japan for the past 15 years, exclusively Manga/Anime figures from Kaiyodo/Xebec, Max Factory, Medicom, Medicos, Megahouse, Tamashii etc. Anyway, I've not had huge exposure to the "Mecha" genre, I typically read Martial Arts/Super Natural, so no surprise it was actually the announcement of the S.H.Figuarts Devilman that first got me looking into the GX-70 and SOC line. Mazinger Z was actually a series I always wanted to watch, so i've just started now, and I have to admit it's really fun. Anyway, back to the SOC line, this GX-70 D.C. is just magnificent. I've never had a SOC in my possesion before, so perhaps i'm speaking out of turn, but i'm really looking forward to this and have pre-ordered from HLJ. Best price seems to be CDJapan and 10.5K yen, but they were sold out and HLJ's price was only 500 yen more. Since I am an impulsive person, I also just bought myself the original 2010 SRC Mazinger Z and Weapons Set off Mandarake! It's a fantastic figure, and being a big fan of articulation it ticks all my boxes perfectly. It's only a shame he's so much smaller than his SOC counterparts: Anyway, sorry for rambling on. Mod's, feel free to move this if it is too off topic, wasn't sure where to post. Happy collecting!

Hi man and welcome to RJ the thing is with Mazinger z even after 44 years its still watchable and enjoyable, i just finished rewatching it again lol and the GX-70 is one of the Best Mazingers in the SOC line , from the promo photos and earlier prototype photos its looks really promising and very articulated about the SRC Mazinger z i agree with you, its ton of fun to pose and play with and the accessories are just amazing, but try not to leave it with the rocket punch effect since they will make the arms joints very loose with time

Thank you everyone for your kind words and warm welcome! I'm very appreciative!!
Back to the GX-70, does anyone expect we will be seeing a D.C. Aphrodite A at Tamashii Nation exhibition? They have already said they'll be more in the D.C. line at the show and since the 40th Anni Version was pretty much the same as the GX-08, i'd really like an updated sculpt. (even though the GX-08 is pretty much perfect already).
I also expect an updated Great Mazinger, even though it hasn't been that long since the DX was released, it would be nice to see something more affordable.

Welcome Kanji, I also collect a bunch of different figures and lines like Saint Seiya figures and Berserk. Regarding your question I hope this D.C line is the beggining of a bunch of of figures from Go Nagai's work, I'd kill for Figuarts Koji Kabuto and Tetsuya, as for the SoC D.C line yes I think a new and more stylish Aphrodite might be in the works

i was really curious about how the eyes will change colors, its one of the main reason i PO this release however in this photo we see another head also from the photos i understand its an SOC with SRC joints not a bad mix at all EDIT i guess the box is big because they packed it DX style or maybe that chick is really tiny

or maybe that chick is really tiny LOLZ But seriously though, the 40th Anniv GX-01 is only half the width of that box. Wishful thinking: I hope Bandai throws in a book/manga, or maybe even a Blu-ray disc
