I like the aesthetics on MakeToys quite a bit more. And with the high price, I'll wait for the ToysRUs release for a much cheaper price if I ever get one. Just don't feel right to pay premuim when you are not getting the best, official release or not.

I still like the look of Despotron more, but from what I've seen the added accessories and sound effects will make it hard to pass this figure up.

OMG that's beautiful. I don't have many MP TF's, but I will definitely be picking this one up. Does anyone know if the ones that will be sold from TF Source will have the orange plug on the barrel, like what BBTS is doing with theirs?

I wonder if the hasbro version would get silver paint. Hasbro? They didn't even get around to making the first Megatron. Not likely gonna happen. The backlist for HasbroMP's is way too long. They don't even have Magnus yet. No Sideswipe etc... the list goes on and on. |

Yeah, I guess the likelihood is low. I just hope a silver repaint appears, as I think that might look a little better than animation colors.

Holy crud, that's some complex transformation, like the work of some evil geniuses  I gave up on these complicated heart attacks during MP Hotrod days, and he had a much simpler transformation compared to this. Not sure if I can handle that kind of punishment again, lolz  |

I am really tenpted to get this. It seems like a really high end price. There are rUnits we might see a prime 3.0 that has a more animated look just like the new mps have. I think that would be great.

Briefly browsed through the review. Slightly better impression than photo stills, now that you see it in camera and some of those ratchet joints are nice! Still can't get over the overall proportion though, which doesn't look like a problem of camera lens distortion on earlier photos. Big head, short torso and thin legs still present. But some of the structure engineering, sound gimmicks, and the accessories does help selling it. For the first time, I realized this figure has no silver paint, but a flat gray (bare plastic?).

The paintjob is kind of hard to capture on photos, but the toy is almost 100% painted. The gray actually has some metallic flake in it as well as a gloss coating over the gray. So it's semi-metallic as well as the flatter gray of the cartoon. It's a very interesting finish on the figure. I'll have mine in-hand hopefully by the end of next week.
