Yeah.
There are various youtube-videos (both foreign and english) of MP-36 since release to check MP-36 out and stuff if one is unsure about it.
As such, no toy is truly safe from any careless user, or even an overly-careful user.
Accidental breakages happens on every toy, but it's kinda rare right now with MP-36 so far.
Everybody in every TF forums would be loudly up in arms if MP-36 breakages were common and stuff, but it just seems that only those specific pics featured in that Seibertron-blurb kept being recycled and reposted as some proof of "breakages".

Won't know until I actually have this in hand. But it can't be as fragile as Apollyon. And, I've actually transformed Apollyon more than a handful of time without any breakage. I'm not too worried.

Received mine yesterday from BBTS. The freakin plug has set. I shouldn't of waited to ship. It's now pretty impossible to remove. Spent last trying my best. Only option I can think of now is to cut it off using a x-acto knife. The one on the silencer, I don't really care that's it's on there. Honestly doesn't look that bad. But the one on the barrel needs to be off. Otherwise can't fully plug the silencer in. The part that sucks is that even if I cut the plug off the barrel, I still have to sand down the excess inside the barrel, cause I've heard that the silencer has parts that plugs inside the barrel. Update- Vise grip. Easily twist off once I fasten it down with vise grip wrench. A bit of heat from a dryer might of helped. Why they bother to use rubber cement, the plug is deep enough to stay in. Should never be glue down to begin with.

The silencer was the one I used vise grips on to remove since it had a little rubber cement. Oh prepare for some scratching if you decide to attach the silencer.

Some are lucky with the silencer and did not cause damage to the barrel. Me not so lucky. The bottom of the barrel was scratched and a little bit of paint did scrape off. There is a fix involving sanding down the inner parts of the silencer but I am not to bothered by it. It's nicely painted but paint rubs and chip paint is to be expected. Mine came out of the box with a couple of paint chips and minor imperfections. I had a lot to say about the figure and wrote it all down. Then I saw this guys review and he pretty much summed up how I felt about this figure. Lots of the still shots I wanted to take, this guy already did. Like the jumping up in the air pose with the light saber before Optimus Shoryuken him. The kneeling pose to show how articulated it is. Like this reviewer, I too have Apollyon and he's spot again with the similarities on the accessories and how I generally feel about XTB's attempt. Only photo I do want to share is this update to my display, Decepticon MP shelf Last thing, Apollyon was not purchased as a stand in or placeholder. It was never intended that way. Also, would of been a waste of money for it to be. Just so happened that TakaraTomy made something that was just so much better that it turned out this way.

So is there any way to get him without the plug? I know the law but is there any vendor skirting that?

There was a vid today about avoiding the scratches. If I find it I'll post it. So out of all the mp where does this rank.

There was a vid today about avoiding the scratches. If I find it I'll post it. So out of all the mp where does this rank. For me, it would be tops in rank but that would be bias, plus there are some negative to the figure. The joint tolerance and rubbing, scuffing of parts to the paint from transformation knocks it down an bit. Also, the transformation, I don't enjoy even though I've gotten the hang of it, it still isn't fun to do. I though about it and would have to say that the best or highest rank I would give to a MP is #22 Ultra Magnus. Magnus is fun and easy to transform. I like the heft of the figure and the paint is phenomenally well done on my copy. It totally loses to Megatron in terms of being an action figure. But its a fun transforming figure with big shelf presence. Where Megatron shines with this MP is that it is an solid figure and plays like a action figure. The joints move fluidly and stays in place. Like the guy was saying in the review, kinda makes MP-10 Optimus look dated as it can pull of almost any pose with ease. For you, ,coldiron, I say hold out to see if they will make the toy color version with the shiny silver paint and red paint for inner leg area that you want. TakaraTomy is not going to use a mold once without releasing other colors. Lastly, I can see some KO or 3rd party company making a add on set for this Megatron. A new fusion cannon with Frank Welker's voice chip (with all of Megatrons famous quotes) and perhaps a purple LED light will sell like crazy. All they have to do is KO and copy the current fusion cannons mold. A set of hands with individually articulated fingers wouldn't hurt. The hands slides on and off so it's easy for a 3rd party to come up with this part.

MP-36 really needs MPs of Blitzy and Space Choo-Choo to properly recreate Triple-Takeover scene... imgur.com/ZHIvQjU

Here is the video I mentioned. I will likely hold off on this one for now. My priority is to get a ginrai, then I'll see what kind of funds I have.

For me hands down one of the best MPs (If not the best MP) I just love the figure, the articulation, accessories, the sheer weight. Good job Takara! Got lucky with us - NZ doesn't have such rules - but I feel you guys about the orange plug its just a toy! (But what can we do....rules are rules)

Any of you peeps get MP-36+ (homage to the G1 toy)? I finally shipped my PoL from Anime-Export and got it out of the box to display. The question I have is the nozzle of the gun and how to get it like the image on the press photos (along the waist versus pointing skyward on his back). No matter what I do, my nozzle is slightly angled downwards because it is hitting against this clip on his back. And I don't want to apply too much force as I'm worried I'm going to chip off chrome or snap it off outright. Thanks in advance for any input/instructions!
