Hello friends
based on recent experiences i thought it will be a good idea to have a thread where we share our experiences about online stores, either positive or negative also if any member is wondering about a store legitimacy he/she can ask here
i will start with my experience with nin-nin-game which was very very bad, i dont recommend dealing with them AT ALL
first, i preorder some SMP kits, and it took them SIX months to ship, the packaging was mediocre, also the shipping price was a bit higher than the rest of Japan based stores Ive dealt with sound familiar? yup exactly like NY
my new issue with them i preorder couple of figures and when the release date is close the price was around $30 cheaper than the price when i placed my preorder, when i asked them about it, they said didn't change the original preorder price, they refused to adjust the price and blamed it on the exchange rate fluctuates will my order details says a different story, i mean this is greed level 100, almost every store Ive dealt with have price adjustment without even asking them for it ! to top it up they sent me a lousy 500 Yen ($3) voucher that didnt even work
well guess i will put them in my black list and take my business somewhere else

Did they charge you when you originally made the preorder, or did they decide to raise the price before they charged you? I can't fully blame them for not wanting to compensate customers that paid before the value of the yen fell, since it's something comple out of their control. Compared to the dollar it dropped more than one third of its value compared to last year.

no no bro, i will give you more details
my orders were made via pay later option, the price was around 22k Yen now its around 19k Yen
i understand your point and i agree with you but i didn't pay anything so they could adjust the price with no issues, also the customer services agents will mark the ticket as resolved after 1 reply they dont give and take or even try understand whats going on
i never had this issue with HLJ, BBTS, tfsource etc...
this is why we need a thread like this, for me i want a store that understand and help the customer within reason of course

Now that I have the full picture I completely agree with you. There's a reason Nin Nin is sometimes considered a retailer of last resort. They have terrible customer service.

Positive experiences -
Among the US-based stores, I've had great transactions with BBTS going back 20 years or so. eKnightMedia has been fairly good in more recent years.
The gold standard for me is Mandarake. In dozens of orders, they've always had detailed and accurate write-ups of every item (probably more fastidious than they even need to be, but I appreciate it); they pack items very securely and ship quickly; and the one time I had a problem (an item missing a part that hadn't been noted in the summary) they went above and beyond to fix it. Great company.

RoboToyBase - Negative
- Ordered a few TFs and POSE+ Goshogun through the years, they were fine.
- POSE+ Godam came with box very badly crushed due to oversized hollow shipping box with almost no stuffing. Emailed Tony about it, instead of politely apologize, he just ask me if I want to pay more for a thicker box next time LOL. Wasn't even asking for compensation, just a FYI hoping he will pack my next order better.
- POSE+ GGG, same hollow shipping box treatment (they re-use the original POSE+ shipper box that meant to fit 2 GGG, but only put 1 in it to ship to customers, with almost zero stuffing). Toy box sliding and bouncing around inside. Luckily no major damage this time. Apparently, Tony didn't pay attention at all to my previous Godam email.
- POSE+ Baxinger DX Set already came out in HK a couple months. Asked to ship my order. Tony told me HK can't ship EMS. I told him I can pay extra for DHL/FedEx. Instead of sending me a new invoice, Tony asked me if I have a FedEx account (with me scratching my head). I replied again that I can pay extra for the shipping upgrade. No reply. Continued to email Tony a couple more times trying to follow up that lasted another month or two. No reply. As I see the Baxinger selling out everywhere, I finally gave up on him and asked for cancellation and a refund on my US$30 preorder deposit. Got ignored again. They still owe me $30 to this day... Another three more months had passed since my cancellation, and I already got myself a Baxinger from Mandarake paying a bit markup (thanks Tony). Then NOW they have the nerve to send me a Paypal invoice of my Baxinger DX not from the RoboToyBase account, nor the Chimungmung account, but a third Robo Toy Shop Paypal account, which seems fishy after ignoring me for half a year. I won't ever buy from them again from now on.

Great company. Well, altough I have had many good experiences with mandarake. I had a bad one, I bought the WOL option set for my metal build strike freedom and payed more to get the one with the sleeve to hold the Strike freedom and the option set together and to match it with my MB destiny set. They sent it without the sleeve (the cheaper version the had) and only give a 10usd refund. That was the price difference among both packs, but they did not give me any other option and now I have the set but not the full set to match the image... which is a pity since I'm stuck with it and no way I'm buying it again (It is impossible to sell it in my country or to other country from mine).

If you placed the preorder in a different currency, I think that's how they will charge you which factors a lower than market conversion rate.

thank you for your feedback
i really dont know what went down here, when i placed my order im sure it was in Yen but the Email i got was in the USD however in the final payment page its in Yen again,i already paid since it might be my mistake but still i think they should do price adjustment by default
also i noticed with HLJ and other Japanese based stores they always charge in Yen, the currency converter is more like to help the customers how much they would pay in their own currency, again in HLJ i see my local currency but when i pay its in Yen by default unless i change it

They shipped mine last sunday (10/23), thats odd. it has been available at their site for almost a week, so it is weird they haven't shipped yours... Maybe it is because you have a ticket with them

oh wow so they are been selective on who's to ship to now ? im positive i preorder mine as soon as they opened it so it doesn't make since
for the ticket it was marked as resolved on the same day i created this thread (10\10)
i will shot them another email to see whats going on with them
i will cancel the rest of my orders with them way to much greed, stupidity and slow.

before i write my update, i really dont know why the admins wont pin this thread ? it will be very beneficial for everyone instead of randomly asking in random threads
with that said
i would like to update you with my case with Nin Nin, a while ago i was contacted by a very cool agent (Jamie) a very professional person with reason not excuses, he was very helpful and understanding he literally moved things, couple of days later i got the shipping notification, even when i got an issue with the reshipping company they helped
so i can assure they are trust worthy and helpful and i will deal with them again
today i got my package (two figures) they were professionally wrapped with air bubble wrap (on each box) AND another protective papers around all the box

Woohoo~! Nin-Nin went from "a piece of crap" status to "trustworthy and helpful" status. Glad it worked out for you at the end. I am pretty lucky with them, with rarely any problems. The couple times my order got significantly delayed (way before their move and hired more staff), they responded within a couple days. When they shipped my GX-100, even emailed me photos beforehand showing me their packaging without me inquiring. They have been very good on my end for years, and their Loyalty Points system saved me quite a bit. Though I can't say others will all have the same experience, I could be just lucky. Or they try to be extra nice to me after looking at my order history (one of their whales) LOL.

well bro the first time was awful about 5 months to ship a tiny SMP and the packaging wasnt great
this time its totally different, from what i understand they have better and bigger warehouse + more staff
and i understand your point if some had a good experience its not going to good for every one, with the exception of some rare cases

Has anyone any experience from GundamIt Store (they are related to ShowZ)? This store is focused on non-Transformers items gundamit.com/Based on an online review I placed an order for the CangDao Model SV-001 Metal Slug Super Vehicle Item Code: DI-SV001 A transforming Metal Slug Tank Robot? gundamit.com/degenerator-industry-sv001-metal-slug-super-vehicle_p0080.htmlDo anyone know how long it takes them to start processing their orders (if an item is in stock)? (...I am a little leery using unknown or small eRetailers as I recently had to dispute a prepaid open order.)

I picked up my Sentinel SRX and a couple of Pose+ bots from them. It usually take a few business days and then you'll get a shipping notification.

My package arrived from Gundamit in a good shape. But the actual product has an actual defect. I will contact them and check out their customer service. The packaging: The item fit perfectly in a brown box. This brown box is reinforced with taped plastic corners (I never seen this before). This brown box is then packaged in a in a plastic bag bubble wrap bag (similar to Amazon). The toy package is good - box is not damaged The product: The left exhaust pipe is broken out of the box. It looks like too much was cut off the spruce
