Now that MPC Voltron really looks Badass! The look of it makes me wanna get one....... ....damn, if only my wallet could handle it! ;D ---- Voltron-related, but Not toy line related: I'm about ready to sculpt/paint the detail of the former stickers onto my jumbo Voltron... ...I could use some visual reference help such as pics of Voltron (front, red lion arm side, green lion arm side, rear side, top side, and under-the-foot side views)... if anyone here would be kind enough to email me pics of this MPC Voltron (it has great detail) whenever that member has a chance, I would really appreciate it very much. My email: tvmuzik@yahoo.com ...you can send the pics as individual attachments or bundled inside a zip file, linked, and hosted at Megaupload from where I can just download them. Any deeper detail such as how the lion legs tuck into the limbs when in robot mode, I'll just have to google for pics online... that's the detail I must etch as panel-lines into the jumbo's plastic to make it look realistic. Thanks in advance! zozo-Magengar

not to be nit-picky but the voltron lions never dock inside the castle unlike other super robots such as V5 , Getter, etc. so even if they came out with a lion castle it still just won't be the same, rather it'll just be a "glorified" doll house (to me). And its not like they can focus on just building the hanger part like the SOC bases , because the Voltron hanger for all 5 lions is all over the place.

Totally Agree Mr.LurkerX! I remember each Lion had to awaken/activate from their own home element. The Yellow was from the desert or some cave near the desert sand, the blue was from the ocean/underwater, the green came out of the forest, the red was in or near a volcano, and the black lion was the only one that resided near the castle, but was perched at the front entrance gate - In stone first at the very beginning of the anime series and then later as the metal black lion of course!

I guess someone would have to have a very large table space in a garage to make the full landscape model of the Voltron base so that each lion can be dispatched from their symbolic environment elements. A lansdcaped model as in "H O model train set" style. ;D

That's the one I have. And, man is it HEAVY! So heavy I could mince hamsters with it! ;D I luv it. Mine is missing its Green Lion head and all the accessories. zozo-mag Thanks for sharing Gold. I contemplated getting that castle awhile back but I just thought (to me) it didn't have the same effect as the Nabara, Big Falcon, or Mazinger hanger. It just didn't have that "hanger/base" effect for the actual robot. Nonetheless it is a sharp looking piece of voltron novelty. I did get a much prettier version of the Panosh Voltron under the guise of Trendmasters:

I have this one also, but the Go Lion Godaikin US version. And before you ask, No I am not going to auction him off! If I still had an extra one I would - I did have the KO Lionbot version and the Popy version (the toy and box were beat up! ) but sold those both a while back.

Unless I was a vintage collector, I would not even bother to look at the 1980's Go Lions any more. But that's just me... ;D }D

I totally understand that people have their own Point of Views and/or Opinions! And I Agree with you to a certain degree. The Slimline, More Anime Accurate design of the Toynami Voltron MPC overall is a better improved design over the vintage one, especailly the packaging. But the retail pricing, when he was 1st released, was slightly high considering it only came with the star shield and sword. I really wish they made more accessories for Voltron MPC or even some for the Lions. As for the actual Lions themselves, they are great stand alone pieces and that's where the Toynami Voltron MPC is lacking against the Vintage. The gimmicks (pop-out compartments), weapons (swords for Lion's mouths) and missile launchers (shoulder mounted, from a back pop-out gimmick, or from the tail w/ spring firing action) for the vintage Lions are still better. I don't mind the streamlined Lions from the MPC, but those lower chrome legs are a bit too skinny for my taste. Also the chrome wears/flakes off rather easily, especially when converting it to Voltron. So for me, overall Newer Toynami Voltron Design beats Vintage Voltron and Vintage Go Lions are better than Toynami Voltron Lions. Heh... but I do own 2 MPC Voltrons and 1 Plastic Version! LOL! -B

Though not digging the fact that there's a coffin feature in there, the base gets points for play value. They should come out with an updated version of the base to go along with the mpc voltron

I agree Mr."Strong" they should do an updated version like the Voltron bookends pics I posted earlier in this thread, but make larger and have it transform also like in the anime here at 1:16:

berserker211 magengar Guys the Voltron pic I posted isn't godaikin, Loinbot KO or any other KO diecast for that matter its more in line with Gold's Panosh standing a whooping 24" made by trendmasters in the late 90's for the CGI Voltron Series. Its got a ton of gimmicks: Transforms shooting missles, light up eyes, firing fists, opening canopies, holds 3 1/2 pilots. Its practically a cross between a Jumbo and a Godaikin. Its really quite impressive much as I try to tell myself I want to get rid of it I just can't seem to let it go....... Here it is compared to my Godakin Voltron- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do share themazingerz's sentiments the Masterpiece Voltron totally owns the godaikin.

just a heads up:
just saw a Voltron Vehicle Force from a local collectible/comic shop here in Mississauga, its around $350-$450 not to sure after taxes, but that would be cool to display side by side with your Lion Force. Judging from the size of the box, i'd say its should be the same size as your Votron Lion Force, although not to sure if they Volt in or out.
