well Nostalgia, I don't own the first version but most reviewers mentioned that the joints had some QC issues, so I strongly hope that they fixed that with the 1.5 version. or maybe it's just another clever marketing scheme (and it works too )

as far as babelfish translation goes... As for the destructive God which returns, the variation of scene reappearance spread with new wrist part attachment of the open hand and the pointing whose demand is many. The forum of reputation that way originally, furthermore brushes up detail FINAL Ver. which We deliver as. In new power final fusion approval! ! whatever you can make out of this GT ;D but I think it sounds good

It comes with three new hands, not much else they could do by way of new parts since it was pretty tooled up to begin with.
I need to get one...one day..yes, one day... *sigh*

How bad is this Max Gokin? Can anyone point me towards a review of the original version that was released. I will be getting my first Max Gokin, a Godannar in a couple of days and I am looking into this Genesis GaoGaiGar. I've seen many models of GGG, but was never really interested in the design. I guess its because he's overly bulky and just has too much. But I've seen the new pictures of this figure at HLJ and even Max Factory, and I guess I can easily complete the Max Factory Max Gokin line because there are only 3 gokins. What I am trying to ask is that all of you that have this Gokin, how much do you like it?

I like the original. But there is still room for improvements, mainly due to the insanely tight groin joints. But accessories and details on it look great. I'm hoping they will fix the joint problem on the 1.5 and maybe make the tail less fragile. I'm pretty sure I made a review about it a while back but I think the thread got deleted when the board was remodeled. BTW Bizzio mentioned that Maxfactory is also making a Max Gokin Big-O for 2008(next year). Whee.. Gold

Yikes!! Wow... This is totally impressive by all standards, but there's still no way I can afford one. Isn't this about as expensive as the fully transformable one? When will a company like RevolTech make some Brave machines that are a little more easy on the wallet? Eheh... I'm still waiting on that to happen. Though it could be quite a while.

Can't wait to see pictures of the new Max Gokin Big O. Only 3 months before July, Before this gets released right? How big is the box? I can imagine it being much bigger than the Godannar and the Mazinkaiser box. Is it around the size of a Perfect Grade Gundam box? The more pictures I see, the more I want it.

Hehe, no idea Triggerexe, it would be nice if Revoltech did make a toy of the GGG bots(all of them including the fembots would be awesome ) Superfarterv, the original Maxfactory GGGG box is roughly the size of the SOC Dancougar box. TheMazingerZ, Big-O was mentioned in passing by Bizzio over at the SOC section. He wrote an Email to Maxfactory (the same way I did, through their website) and he quoted the reply saying that Big-O was the next scheduled Max Gokin for 2008. Whether this comes true or not is anyone's guess. In the past Maxfactory announced they were making a TV version GGG (it was mentioned in text form on their posters during one Winterfest years ago when they unveiled the their game version Mazinkaiser), after a long wait the GGG got dropped and suddenly Godannar came out. This was followed by another announcement of a Max Gokin transforming Megazone 23Garland. They even unveiled an unpainted prototype of the Garland at a toyshow at the same time Yamato unveiled their version of the Garland. This too seems to have faded into oblivion since it's been almost 2 years since that Garland saw the light of day Yamato's Garland got released though with lots and lots criticisms mainly due to very very fragile plastic parts in all the wrong places. Hehe, no idea Triggerexe, it would be nice if Revoltech did make a toy of the GGG bots(all of them including the fembots would be awesome ) Indeed! How come none of the other GGG bots get no love? Volfog and Mike barely got transforming figures in Japan, but they were...well, lame. They don't even have to transform. I was going to get one of the Yujin GGG figures, then they started disappearing from the net. They were cool and decently priced. I'm sure RevolTech can do the line justice. They've done Mazinkaiser, Giant Robo, Gaiking, Getter Robo, and a bunch more. All of them at great prices and with awesome articulation. Just because you're making a figure of the ultimate anime robot god doesn't mean you should stick a rediculous price tag on it. lol While they're at it, they can make a GGG Final version of Guy, J, and a Renee' figure too. ^_^ Hehe, just open up the whole line!

For anyone who is interested.
If I were to say one thing that I really love about my Max GGGG it would have to be its truly jewel like quality. It's certainly in my top three favorite pieces for shelf display. I know this sounds a little hokey, but the GGGG feels impressive. When you hold it, not only is it heavy but it has the tight assemblage that feels solid and durable. The details of the sculpt, paint and the high craftsmanship of the assembage are perhaps unsurpassed by any other figure imo. It's not the most articulated figure (but it's not bad) nor does it transform, but it is an incredible figure that I would not pass up on.
Here's a brief comparison of Max's to CM's version: The CM GGGG has a primary goal of being transformable first and foremost with everything else second, whereas the Max GGGG has its primary goal of being an impressive and highly crafted display piece. This is not to say that the Max GGGG doesn't have a high degree of play value if for no other reason than its more poser friendly, nor does the CM lack display craftsmanship, its just that the primary goals are very different and very apparent when handling them and seeing them up close. Also most of CMs paint is a standard gloss paint with brighter more 'toylike' colors, whereas the Max version has lots of metallic paint in overall deeper tones. I think both of them are impressive figures yet completely different. The CM is more of a tinkerers robot with a bulkier, relatively light hearted projection. The Max figure is more streamlined and intense with a fierce and iconic sort of stature that eminates from its sharp fieatures.

I was kinda dissapointed and glad to hear that the box is only the size of a SOC Dancougar. I mean, SOC GX-13 is a big box, but I was picturing that the box for the Max Factory GGGG to be the size of a Perfect Grade Gundam. I saw some pictures of the content on Ebay. They would have had to use a box similar in size to the perfect grade gundams if they placed the two trays side by side. I can't wait for this to be released. Anyone know of where I can order this? HLJ.com stop preorders and the only other place I can find this is at imageanime.com.

Gold, thanks for the detailed information. Those guys at Max Factory can produce fine figures, but are not very consistant. Man... How I wish they would make a GaoFighGar... I have the Kotobukiya Souzetsu Gokin GaoFighGar and GaoGaiGar and they are awesome. However, the resin in them has always made me nervous...

I'm not quite up-to-date with these Gao figures. You mentioned "resin", and how it made you nervous... ...does the resin material age and weaken over a long period of time? I'm just asking, because I recently have been handling one of my tiny Mazinger resin paperweight statues: it fell apart at the knees when I received it shipped by mail six months ago... the other day I barely touched the statue, and Maz's left forearm fell off... now every time I touch the statue, some more parts fall off. Soon it'll be nothing but broken chips and pieces. ;D ( I apologize for straying Off-Topic here) zozo-Magengar Gold, thanks for the detailed information. Nah, these Souzetsu Gokin figures are well made (the version 2.0 at least). They have Diecast, Plastic, and some resin parts in them. Unfortunately, the resin parts are mostly the ones that handle most of the stress (joints, connectors, etc...). Resin does tend to come "unglued" in humid environments. I've heard that crazy glue mixed with baking soda works best for the repairs.
